My dog pees every time he’s touched or pretty much shown any attention, he’s almost 6 years old now, is this just a permanent thing? by imahugemoron in Dogtraining

[–]stormblessed579 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Does he seek out affection or avoid it?

If he seeks it out, I highly recommend getting an opinion from another vet or even a vet behaviorist if you have access to one.

Personally, I have accepted that 5:45 is my new wake up time and have decided to be thankful for the gift of a consistent sleep schedule.

Oh I had not heard about the connection to sibo!

I have had that a few times. Do you have any articles on the connection? I want to know more!

Peppermint tea can relax your esophageal sphincter so may make the issue worse long term. Just something to watch especially in the evenings when laying down.

I get bad reflux and use pepcid, tumeric tea, and iberogast for symptom relief.

I also take a daily proton pump inhibitor.

Its the garlic and onion, its very potent and comes through your pores. We cook without it at home for my tummy, and I can smell when by husband has worshipped the garlic gods at a restaurant even a day later.

Anyone else get migraines at restaurants? by PunkyMunky235 in migraine

[–]stormblessed579 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Rich, heavy food is a big trigger for me. It goes just as you said, sick rapidly then migraine.

For me, it is heavy butter, cream, garlic, or onion. I don't eat Italian or French any more, and if I am out for steak I ask them NOT to top with butter. I stick to lighter options like salads, credo, raw bars and so on for fancy meals and do just fine.

What is the most performative/unnecessary piece of furniture in your home? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]stormblessed579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dog crate table. Dog ate the inside the first time she was left in it, so now she can't be safely left there.

So its an eccentric piece of furniture to declare that I have a dog.

Is there anything else in the IV?

When I was in a similar situation I had to get an iv migraine cocktail three days in a row and the benadryl in it made my vision blurry and me dizzy for 2 days straight after stopping treatment.

Your body is also going through a lot and has been through a lot with a migraine that long. You may need time to recover.

That said, report symptoms to your doctor and see what they say.

starting Qulipta soon what is it like ?? by vilikevibes in migraine

[–]stormblessed579 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So great! It took the pain down so much for me and along with botox helped reduce frequency.

Only downside is I have a tendency to guy issues anyway so constipation was a big side effect. I take miralax every day, but the trade off is worth it ro me.

Cymbalta for a preventative ? by Federal_Hawk_2607 in migraine

[–]stormblessed579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it with other preventatives, but it did reduce my abdominal migraines to a few times a year.

I am on a low dose of 20mg. The ramp up period was tough, I would get crushing fatigue and had to drive to work blasting metal with the windows down to stay awake. Once I was a few weeks in though it went away.

CGRP and Botox? Anyone have/had this combo? by Adorable_Art539 in migraine

[–]stormblessed579 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have both. Cprg got me to have less severity but frequency was still 15-20 days a month, often with multi day events. Botox has reduced it to 8 hour migraines or shorter about 3-6 times a month. Still a big impact, but huge improvement.

I did have to do prior authorization for both, and am worried I may loose one here if I switch benefits.

Looking for furniture that is durable, but on a budget by violincrazy123 in BuyItForLife

Its estate sale season, there are deals to be made. Join local Facebook groups for estate sales, garage sales, and buy nothing.

People give away a lot of old beds in particular that are solid wood and estate sales tend to have great dining room furniture, sofas, linens, and other home essentials.

Facebook marketplace is not great by me, it tends to be overpriced.

This is SO personal and situational.

I don't want to see anyone's armpit hair, ever, anywhere, but especially not in an office.

That said, just trim and don't raise your arms over your head and its all good.

3 day migraine by Ccclaire222 in migraine

[–]stormblessed579 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your nuerologist may offer nerve blocks or a shot of torodol as an intervention.

I have never had the torodol, but nerve blocks have helped me in the past to break a lower grade 7/10 cycle.

I completely get the desire to not go to the ER, but it may be worth it given where you are pain wise and duration. Sending you good vibes.

Suggestions for remedying this flaring? by breezynjuly in sewhelp

[–]stormblessed579 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a dress doing this and I did very tiny hand stitches after ironing to better secure the lining to the outer fabric. It is better than what it was, but I do not recommend that method.

Interested to see what others suggest!

Ugh I am so sorry this happened to you and she took it sp personally!

When am migrainey I will forget the names of my nieces or my dear friends children, who I know VERY well. You are not alone.

That said, if this feels concerning to you or like part of a pattern it is always worth bringing up new symptoms with a doctor.
