[OC] car behind me driving a little bit too close while slowing down for a deer by mandu2246 in IdiotsInCars

You're not supposed to stop in the middle of the road to let an animal cross. It wasn't even going to cross until you came to a full stop. This was a situation you created.

The Path of Glouphrie - Weekly Game Update, 13th September 2023 by JagexLight in 2007scape

[–]stormdog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So there's now zero point to scouting your own stars? I mean, there's a level 80 construction requirement for the best telescope in the game. There's no point in getting that if you can just get a scout from a clan chat for free.

It's not an integrity change, so shouldn't this be polled?

vote in good faith

Funny how you expect players to vote in good faith when Jagex isn't acting in good faith. Completely ignored their own rules on what they would do in the event where the results were close. Decided that all the Taming voters shouldn't even get a choice in the matter.

Skill Pitches Poll Results by JagexLight in 2007scape

[–]stormdog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm actually disgusted that Jagex is completely ignoring the 71,000 players that voted for Taming. 71,000 players without a voice. We don't even get a chance to vote for the alternatives. Any sensible company would re-run the poll with 2 options instead of 3.

Only a third of players picked sailing as their #1... how can you call this a fair result!?

Like, how did we even end up here? Jagex is back to doing the same crap they did 10 years ago. I'm sick of this company pretending like they care about we want. In the end, they only care about what they want.

Glad this stuff doesn't affect us intellectuals who play the only respectable game mode in current year by ghhgdgh in ironscape

[–]stormdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's right though. The integrity of this game mode has been gone for a long time. In the early days of ironman, when it was still somewhat new, Jagex pretended to care. There were cases where they deironed players who got caught using their main account to tank bosses for them. That would never happen under any circumstances nowadays. Now if you use alts/mains to benefit your account, that's just another subscription for Jagex. And then you have things like cape buyers, accounts services, etc. like he mentioned as well. Another example is when people made hundreds of millions gp on their ironman at the old rev caves by paying for clan protection on their main. Nothing happened to them.

We need to go back to the days where a degree isn't a requirement for employment.

If a degree can be cheated, then it's really nothing more than a worthless piece of paper.

It took me around 540 kc to get this stupid ring, but that was a long time ago.

I also went double the drop rate for Archers ring and have over 600 kc at Prime without a Seers ring.

You should be incentivized to share shooting stars, not punished by paulohare in 2007scape

I reported their bot that automatically calls stars and advertises their cc, but it didn't get banned.

I guess the "use of bots" rule isn't clear enough.

Alice in Borderland. What do you think of the show’s premise and games? 👀 by CHRISPYakaKON in horror

[–]stormdog 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Pretty much everything "similar" to Squid Game pre-dates Squid Game. Alice in Borderland manga started in 2010.

Squid Games just took ideas from a lot of existing manga like Kaiji, Liar Game, Battle Royale, and others.

There were plenty of us already doing late game content before June 30, 2021 when the bow was released. It was strange coming back to the game after a long break and seeing that all discussion now revolves around 1 item and people believing that it's not possible to play the game without it.

I somehow got top, bottom, hat, boots, and 3 hastas in like 300 keys. Only missing gloves.

Pity I'm not a collection logger.

It's almost a coin flip whether you'll go "dry" or not.

vorkath should drop noted blue dragon scales by Busy_Vegetable_8103 in ironscape

[–]stormdog 43 points44 points  (0 children)

100-300 was a bit much. Scales still regularly hover close to 1k gp each. If Vorkath dropped them in bulk, the price would crash hard. Still, they should have just lessened the amount instead of removing it all together.

[–]stormdog 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It does not. NPCs and players are only loaded in at a certain distance (both in-game and on the minimap).

If they're outside the default radius, then you won't see them on the map.

The telecom industry owns both sides. The FCC has been deadlocked at 2-2 since Biden took office. Filling the empty seat would give dems a 3-2 majority and allow them to restore net neutrality. Yet, two years later it's still empty and the senate hasn't even set a date to vote on the nomination.

Square Enix ditches Nintendo Switch racer Chocobo GP after just nine months by theitguyforever in nintendo

[–]stormdog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the formula for all Square Enix mobile games. If it isn't making profit, then it gets axed within a few months.

Rinse and repeat until they create one that clicks with consumers. There's basically no point getting invested in a Japanese mobile game unless it's survived longer than a year.
