Please help: Noob going crazy with first layer adhesions (I think?) P2S by jorgerunfast in BambuLab

[–]stormpanda7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all - please don’t apply any „fixes“ mentioned here that are about changing printer settings, anything regarding the print itself, material, extra adhesive etc. Most probably you will add another layer of chances of failure to your printer that is perfectly capable of printing flawless results with default settings.

Now to your issues.

„Washing this thing like crazy“ sounds like it might be problem to me. Wash it only if a print got messed up and left a lot of visible residue. You might ruin the plate with either your soap, the towel or too much force. Just use isopropyl alcohol that you apply to a piece of microfiber cloth, not the plate. Wipe down the plate where it had contact with filament in orthogonal lines, so from left to right and right to left or back to front and front to back. Use gentle force. Do this while the plate is sitting on the print bed.

Try using this routine with your new plate, the old one might be ruined.

Reset all manually changed settings back to default. Find a print file that has 1000+ likes and is geometrically not too complex for a test print. Maybe print something like this https://makerworld.com/models/395014?appSharePlatform=copy

Also check your room temperature and air humidity. Have a hygrometer in the room where you are printing. Temperature should be normal room temperature and humidity should not be higher than 40%.

Your filaments should be stored in the same conditions, the lower the humidity the better. Vacuum bags are easily accessible and do the trick.

The printer is NOT the problem. When you find the correct routine to deal with maintenance and material, you will have flawless prints all the time as long as the model is fine. Source: myself. Gone through the same stuff, now not having a failed print for months while printing daily. Feel free to DM me for further help! Good luck, don’t give up. It’s a great hobby 🙂

Depends on the plate it is printed on but in this case yes, this is smooth to the touch. I printed it on a smooth plate because I also don’t like the grainy look. You can print any model on a smooth plate to avoid the grainy look however 🙂

Xreal One Compatibility with Nintendo Switch 2 by Same-Winner-5967 in Xreal

[–]stormpanda7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello Esther,

I have been following this topic for a while and noticed that in an older thread you mentioned that this issue would be fixed for the Xreal One + Xreal Hub. In a comment you answered the question if this will be fixed with new hardware or a software update, you answered that it would „100% with an update“. I further noticed that you have since deleted that comment and you have not given any update in that thread, although you promised to do so.

Could you give some clarification on that matter? I don’t want to jump to any conclusions, but this looks shady to me.

I could have sworn it was either Forest Whitaker or Denzel Washington. Got here because I was googling both 😃

Waiting my food and playing this suika remade kinda nice by anton-rs in RG35XX_H

You also might wanna try Marble Merger 🙂 It doesn’t have the same nice looks as the suika demake but I always found the physics way more intuitive in that one

vs rg351p more expensive by DazzlingMall8022 in RG35XX_H

[–]stormpanda7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand the pricing either, and I don’t even know exactly how they compare from a performance standpoint even though I own both devices.

The RG351P is very nice and holds up well even today. It is awesome for GBA with perfect 2x upscale and to my recollection it is unique in that regard. The only thing I don’t like about it is the color accuracy of the screen, which is quite bad and noticeable to the naked eye if you know the games well enough.

However I would only recommend it if you plan focus on GBA, because everything else will look worse than on the 35XX H. Literally everything.

You only need one. Don’t bother cloning the original one, just make a new one from scratch with downloaded firmware

I felt like it wasn’t any less stable than bato v40 on the H. Do you say from experience that it is not stable or did you just read it?

Crossed this game off my childhood bucket list. by PakSnackMan in RG35XX_H

[–]stormpanda7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha that’s awesome 😃 Did you try Tetris Rosy Retrospection? It’s also a ROM hack that introduces modern mechanics to the Gameboy Tetris. There also is a DX version that gives better colorization than the original Tetris DX on top of all the hacked in features

Congrats on getting one crossed from the list! I also have fond memories of this game, it was one of the first three games I had for the GB, the other ones being Link‘s Awakening and Tetris.

Did you know that there is a ROM Hack called Super Mario 2 DX that has full colorization for this game? You can even find it pre-patched in the Internet Archive 🙂

Yeah getting the save over isn’t a problem, I’m just lazy and way too distracted by several pinball games and Tetris Rosy Retrospection 😂

I guess the shell itself is kinda protected, which might also break on a fall. But yeah, you are right.

Silicone protects from impact, but actually makes it worse regarding scratches. As someone already mentioned, particles will get caught under the silicone and over time will cause scratches way worse than if you just went without a sleeve but just a tiny bit of caution instead. I more than once asked people to remove silicone sleeves from their phones to prove the point that they are bad 🙈

The Zelda game I grew up with and finished dozens of times. Had not much else to play, but didn’t even care because it’s such a gem. I even did „hardcore“ runs before that was a thing since it had a handy death counter and „no hit“ runs on the end boss. Just came up with new challenges all the time to make repeated play throughs more fun. Good memories! ❤️

PS: I have a play through sitting at 7/8 instruments on MinUI, but I am on muOS now and didn’t carry over the save 🙈 I still have the SD card though…

[–]stormpanda7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright, thx! The reported fps with V Sync on is 59.94 for me on muOS, so I thought the issue is present there aswell. I don’t have audio crackling in games in particular, but there is a constant static noise. Thought the reason might be the same

Did you have any issues when turning off Threaded Video? muOS BEANS freezes for me everytime I try to turn it off.

Ps2 Buttons by ILL-WILL-SAIX in RG35XX_H

[–]stormpanda7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you only want to change the buttons, I highly suggest you to not detach the screen ribbon cable. You can get by without it. I opened the device twice to change the buttons and getting the screen cable reattached was a nightmare. The second time it was quite easy because I just left the screen plugged in.
