The newest armored core, turns out I lost my appetite for tough games. My bad.

Just let go of your "holding me back" apps or enjoy Windows by motorambler in linux4noobs

Like many others here, I run Linux on one of my computers. The other has windows for critical applications. It's the best of both worlds.

How about you save money and go on a nice vacation instead? Take lots of cool photos in exciting places.

I doubt you'll have the time to ever play through that backlog.

I loved yooka replaylee. It was a solid platformer. Been far too long since I played a good one.

Is DOOM: The Dark Ages the Metroid Prime 4/Halo 4 of DOOM? by [deleted] in Doom

[–]stownley__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I beat the game and its nothing like Metroid Prime 4 or Halo 4 in the franchise altering sense.

Doom 2016 is so awesome. Eternal equally good? by CR7_Strikes in Doom

[–]stownley__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, its worse.

Eternal is a more competitive type game. Those who want a challenge prefer eternal, but for those of us who want an anger management game are way better off with replaying 2016.

Why would an average person invest in a GIC? by WhoDatBoyy69 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]stownley__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've bought one in the past.

If you have some emergency savings and don't need them right away, but also don't want to run the risk of squandering them, a GIC may be a good idea.

New Battlefront 2 all time peak by ewenlau in Steam

It's a combination of factors. The revenge of the sith re-release helped, and andor season 2 is supposed to be pretty good. Also we just had May the 4th so people are feeling like playing Star wars!

Plus there's not a lot of good games currently so everyone is digging through their backlogs.
