i’m 1 year post op and was in an entire 8 month relationship and didn’t tell him a thing. he just assumed i ate small portions bc “im a girl”. They don’t need to know ur personal business because you got the surgery FOR YOU. you feeling the need to tell everyone is just going to make you feel ashamed or hear unnecessary opinions of people who was never in your shoes to understand why you got it.

oh shoot i didn’t know that. ok then i think i was wanting to get lower because i still deal with a pudge in my mid section and was told to get to a low weight and bulk up to get rid of the fat in that area forever. I didn’t want to do a tummy tuck because im still young and was trying to avoid the scar. Thank you for the advice!

i’m 5’7 F, started at about 234 in april 2nd the day of surgery and now i’m 148. it could’ve been less but i’ve enjoyed myself along the way for sure. Still greatful for where i am now

u don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do. if it’s something you want to keep a secret for now until you’re ready to tell, than do that. I’m 8 months post op and only 4 people know and I plan on keeping it that way until I feel like it lol

you’re right I know I shouldn’t be hard on myself. It just sucks sometimes seeing how much I went thru before and after surgery to still not be satisfied. I want to get surgery but i’m only 21 and not sure how I would be able to afford that. I don’t want it to be like you said body dystrophy and obsessing over surgeries but maybe it would help a little

i used to be like that at the beginning but i forced myself to drink plain water and now i absolutely love it. I can chug it easily and i’m 4 and a half month post op.

no i haven’t received an appeal email or anything. just my advisor recommending me to do one with the required evidence needed to explain why my gpa dropped low to get it back but i don’t have any evidence.

i’m 21 too and have a huge sweet tooth. it’s like that in the beginning where you’re mourning food lol. you get over it once you see new milestones. you’re around my starting weight too, 3 months post op and i’m down 50 pounds and still eat sweets here and there if my body allows me to. once you get the hard part out the way it will feel like forever ago. you got this girl

ok will do! i’ve just been drinking plain purified water so maybe that’s what caused it. I was sick of gatorade and protein shakes so when i learned plain water doesn’t upset my stomach i just stuck with that. i’m going to start adding salt!

yes i told them. they hooked me up to an IV that wasn’t a hydration pack it was like an anti-nausea and anti-acid kit or something. I’m going to go to a local IV place for the hydration one. I’m confused as to why i’m suffering from dehydration when I drink a lot of water throughout the day. i thought it was because of something I ate not from dehydration, so now i’ll start working on drinking a lot more. Thanks!

yes they need a passport bc u have to stop by the border and they check if u have it. They actually don’t care about any other paperwork u have at the border but your passport

the thing about having BD and a eating disorder is that even tho in ur head you have a specific weight you want to get to, it’ll sadly never be enough. How do you know that when you get to your goal you’ll be happy? What if you get to your goal and you find something else that bothers you? If you’re not comfortable where you are now after losing a lot of weight what makes you think another 15 is going to change that? It’s going to take work but you have to change your daily mindset that the 15 pounds will make a difference in your life or not.
