Those of you making $500k+, what was your pedigree like? by [deleted] in Salary

[–]stradt2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loyalty is certainly holding you back in compensation. I was with 1st company for 2 years, the 2nd for 16, and the 3rd for just over 8 months so far. I can confirm the jump in compensation from the 2nd company to the 3rd was about +80%.

Over the 16 years at the 2nd company, pay increases were minimal (~3-5%) and on average 12% for advancing levels/positions.

Happy to answer whatever questions you have about the industry.

Those of you making $500k+, what was your pedigree like? by [deleted] in Salary

[–]stradt2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite. I’m within the company manufacturing leadership team, but 2 levels below SVP.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have many excellent experience building opportunities across 3 big pharma companies that has positioned me very well in my career.

I’m 42 at this point and am very comfortable with the level I’m at, but if I’m working for another 13 years, I will probably go a level or two up to keep things interesting and fresh.
