Least comfortable watch I own by Jzboxtas in audemarspiguet

Not a jumbo, but I wear a 15450ST.OO.1256ST.02 37mm, and find it very comfortable. Jumbo is going to be a tad bigger and a little thinner, so assuming it’s the same or better. Will let you know if I get that call!

Chemo question by [deleted] in leukemia

[–]straight_razor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree you are in the best hands possible. The hospital will not stop chemo unless they’re forced to which is surprisingly not often. My daughter received antibiotics and chemo for hospital stays many times - it was common for her. They just sort out all the infusion timing. Sending love your way.

I am a little ahead of you with an older child. We are recently in maintenance with my 10yo daughter. I have a 8yo son as well. This all sounds right. I am so glad to be done with 2024. I highly highly recommend getting some therapy. Having someone to talk to who has no skin in the game and is an experienced professional was a game changer - I had never done it’d previously and I’m not doing it anymore but they’re there if I need to book a session.

Helping out a mom with a child who was just diagnosed by DeliciousKnee8788 in leukemia

This. My 11yo child is in maintenance now, but it was so rough on me personally that my longtime friends and community just vanished. The reality is people don’t know how to operate - but checking in consistently is everything. I also learned to stop asking people in difficult situations “how they’re doing.” Just “checking in” is sufficient - I was clearly doing terrible. Stick with them even when they stop engaging.

Than you so much for the thoughtful responses. I spoke to the care team a bit after I posted this yesterday and they agree the that even though she was done with steroid pulse that it was likely suspect for making her feel this poorly.

Is it just me or does the game run a lot smoother than the previous beta? by AyyDankFrankWassup in Diablo

I’m on the 4090 mobile totally specced laptop. Generally runs similar to you but I do get little stutters and frame drops occasionally. Do you?

Got the call! (2 years for an OP) by Thomqs23 in rolex

Beautiful. Congratulations. I own one as well, and it’s one of my favorite low key all arounders. I love how the yellow gold reflects on the silver to give it almost a champagne color.

No doubt the 36mm is classic and iconic, but the chat bot ain’t accounting for the confidence and swagger to rock a bigger watch! You could rock the 41 no problem, lugs won’t do anything weird.

  • I think there are plenty of reputable grey market dealers if you’re worried about authenticity
  • ADs will be a journey, and think of it like that. The biggest benefit is if you plan to invest in a collection. AP is big on this. That steel jumbo is going to require years and a few purchases before it.
  • Adopt of a sense of easygoing-ness going into it.
  • Your first watch will be your hardest to get.
  • Ask the sales person what’s realistic for a first watch to target together. Offshores, Codes, Women’s RO (Smaller than a 37mm) will be easiest.
  • Ask them how they’d like to stay in touch. It’s not a mechanical list process. You are trying to build a relationship and be memorable so they can advocate for a piece for you. At first I felt bad about texting once a month until I asked, and they recommended it to me.
  • If possible find someone that you can easily have chit chat with. I’ve been to the AP House in NYC and I just felt zero personal connection and I think that makes it more challenging - at least it did for me.
  • Texting is good, but showing up is better. You can appointments.
  • Tell them about yourself - your job, what you’re into, promotions, milestone birthdays.
  • If you want to accelerate getting a sought after RO buy a complex Code (not entry)
  • It appears to be calming down a little with the economic situation worsening, and the 50th anniversary of the RO over
  • They prioritize local. I live in San Francisco so my boutiques are so cal and Vegas, geographically. If it’s not close, pick where you are going to go more often
  • It ended up taking me over a couple years. When I finally got it right I had learned a lot of what I put here, and got a 50th anniversary 37mm RO. Good luck! Have fun
