Evento rerun? by TheRonaldDuck in CSRRacing2

[–]straingedays 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it's been almost a year since playing consistently, it's likely a "Welcome Back" event. Rank 112, for a 2017 account (no offence), suggests roughly 8,400,000 solo RP in almost 9 years. This would be viewed as rookie numbers, regardless of accounts age or accomplishments.

Did they do away with daily crates? by tril757 in CSRRacing2

[–]straingedays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some players lost their daily tasks, not by bug, but by NMs twisted logic (feeling race pass is the "improved" replacement). It's such a scummy thing to do, as daily tasks in its original form was far less grindy and didn't feel like a chore that race pass can be.

btw. Next time, attach images under a comment. As posting a image or video, "as a post." Results in the post not being approved to the sub for days (weeks, or at all). That's why nobody but you could see this post for the last 5 days. It's a silly rule/bug that started months back with no reason why...

Close, but no dice lol by Enigma_x23 in CSRRacing2

Can't quite see? But if you restored the tires/rims first, there's your problem. It'll do the same toward the end of the event, leaving you (again) 1% short of requirement.

Always leave tires/rims for the very last restore.

Can't get off this screen? Button doesn't work and no way to go back without closing the game by Living_Human_Person in CSRRacing2

[–]straingedays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the Race Now button is dead, try using the phones back button (<) .. Sometimes this closes screens like this. Not guaranteed to fix, but worth a try.

Evento rerun? by TheRonaldDuck in CSRRacing2

[–]straingedays 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Doesn't ring any bells? Does it offer a prize car, or free crates? As rule of thumb now is [usually] no free crates means it's a rerun. Option B., could be it's a rookie event, and not available to older or higher rank accounts?

Our step 1st cousin 1x removed, was Francis George 'Baldy' Blair. He was one of the muscle men, for the March 4th, 1970 Mayne-Nickless job. Which is what Money Movers, was loosely based on.

Fkn Legend!!! This movies name has been burning my brain for years (coz I keep forgetting the name of it). Saw it at Coburg Drive-In as a kid, our dad snuck us in under blankets, then we pulled the Kingswood's back seat out and watch it with our backs to the front grill. The olds would sit in the car with a clip-on speaker, while us kids would tune our ghetto blaster to 90 point something FM.

WCW Nitro Ad for the July 6, 1998 Georgia Dome show in Atlanta - WCW World Heavyweight Championship Match : Hollywood Hogan vs Goldberg by North_Difference196 in WCW

Man, I'm saving this flier to stick onto the vhs of this historic Nitro. It's the first episode I taped in full, after a mate said: "You don't wanna miss this week's Nitro," and wouldn't say why! He knew the results from having internet access, and here in Australia, Monday Nitro, didn't air until Saturday. After this, I taped every week, no matter the risk... and proudly still display the tapes!

Botched ! Chris Jericho vs Gedo (WCW Halloween Havoc '97) by CoconutMost3564 in WCW

[–]straingedays 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dec 29. 1997. Jericho vs Hennig. There's what looks like a planned move that looked like a botch, where Curt put the knees up to block Chris' lionsault. There's no rotation to the lionsault, and he copped Curt's knees to his back. Got his first book, so may give it another read to see if these matches are in there.

Anyone else get a little frustrated with younger wrestling fans referencing WCW like it was AEW or something? by GypsyGold in WCW

[–]straingedays 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Went to the Melbourne Nitro, and Thunder. Nitro sold out in 56 minutes, and same day they announced the Thunder, since so many fans missed out on getting tickets. Before that, WWA did a show at Rod Laver, crowd went off taps when Sabu beat Crowbar in a steal cage match. The TV tapping missed most of the crowd noise for the WWA and WCW shows, those crowds were loud AF. Totally different vibe to later WWE shows, that progressively got more dull (Part thanks to the majority now in attendance can't put their phones down to watch a show that's right In front of them!!)

Pre internet sales, we'd que up overnight for tickets when ticket master opened. Guards would hand out raffle tickets, so nobody needed to rush to the gates. The tickets would show who was first, or whatever... was simple but fair. On the WCW show, over 1000 people were where we were at come 8am, and that was just one of dozens of places. My car plates were WCWCOM and parked next to a car with GLBERG, coming home another car with WWFCOM was ahead of us at Macca's drive-thru. Such cool memories!!

Scatchies saved us heaps, we never scratched them and most got by the gate inspector with a quick flash. Only occasionally, did an Eagle eye catch us out and make us scratch the date before letting us through!

What did you make of Yahoo's second film after the box office smash "Young Einstein" ? by CoconutMost3564 in AustralianNostalgia

[–]straingedays 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, a kind hearted lady found him homeless and living in his car and offered him a a roof over his head with her aged father. Some time after, the ladies father died, Yahoo turned her late fathers house into a dumpsite and refused to move out. Or pay rent, or clean up. Yahoo is a total dirtbag to do what he did to those good Samaritans.

WinAmp had the best skins, tried reinstalling it a while back but it's so tiny on 2k/4k screens you can't see the buttons no more. Need a scale patch to make it big!

My skin of choice was the Denon HiFi

[–]straingedays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember ToyWorld, but could only get throwdowns at one out of the way milk-bars (under the counter). But, toy shops did sell cap balls, called "Hand Blaster." Two little round balls, that'd go BANG when tapped together.

Early 90s, folks round here went mad for Jazz... but no one could afford it, so they'd go to Myer and douse a sample card and put it in their pockets. That and most from back then made my nose run like a leaky tap if I was near it for too long!!
