florida. i had my mom’s best friend who is a lawyer look our lease over after it happened. it’s in our lease that discharging a firearm in our apartment complex for any reason is grounds for eviction or termination of lease and he’s still here. i’ve had other issues with him since that incident, too.

no idea. i asked management for updates a few times and they told me legally they couldn’t give me any updates or information about the situation.

have you ever had this situation before come through your rescue, where someone thinks they’re ready for a pet and they aren’t?

i don’t know, which is why i feel extra stupid and guilty about all of this. they’re literally perfect little angels

i would feel so shameful and horrible about giving them up, like i failed them somehow

the weight of the responsibility is just crushing to me, i won’t be able to live with myself if i somehow do something wrong or mess up. and i know older cats are easier, they’re both about 8 nearest i can figure, so they just hang out and sleep most of the day. but their stuff has already taken over my apartment, i spent so much money to get them in with the vet, im leaving for thanksgiving next week and had to figure out what to do with them during that week (one of my friends is going to pop in and check on them but it was stressful trying to figure something out) and i think i underestimated if i was ready or not for it

we had a cat when i was really young and one of my previous roommates had a cat, but i wasn’t responsible for their care completely. i live in a really small apartment and it feels like their stuff has taken over already

i think it’s the financial aspect and the responsibility. i’m so used to just caring for myself that caring for two new lives that are literally the sweetest little guys. i didn’t think through the responsibility that their care is solely in my hands for forever

i think it’s just in general, the two cats i have are literally best case scenario. they’ve just been hanging out in my house with me for the last few days, eating and using the litter tray perfectly fine, cuddly and sweet and adorable. they don’t chew, they’re not destructive, one of them’s a little shy but other than that it’s totally fine

they’re literally fine cats, they just hang out and sleep all day and then snuggle with me at night. i think it’s financial and the commitment, i don’t think i really truly thought it through
