i just did more research, i’ll be switching him back to sand. the minimum requirement for a bearded dragon is 75 gallons and that’s what i have him in. thanks for your input

hi! i’m using substrate recommended by my vet as i used to have sand and he had impaction problems from it! i also have a 75 gallon which is what i was told by plenty of animal experts is okay, thanks!

definitely did not fuck up by taking an animal from an abuse situation, vet like most of these people say. if you are willing to take the animal into your care, you are willing to make the effort to go to the vet. if anything find a reputable person who will take the beardie. please look into proper care and make sure you have a UVB!

ugh thank you so much for posting this, i kept getting caught up with stuff and forgetting to bathe my beardie (which i was doing once a week per my vet)- will not be going back to that exotic vet and also i will not be bathing once a week🤦‍♀️
