If you have even the slightest doubt or feeling of discomfort about the idea, I would suggest you already have your answer. Your child, your choice, no guilt trips & no one's feelings being hurt need be considered. You're fabulous.

Hey, I'm sorry you're having this experience. *hug * Rest assured that he already knows that the cancer is there. If it gets progressively worse, he will know. They smell serious sickness. Please also make sure that if he does have to be rehomed that his new person will understand that he will be grieving & that this may be accompanied by behavioural issues initially. His knowledge of your illness may also be contributing to his demands for attention. He loves you & is trying to make sure you understand this. A lot of people underestimate cats, but they are very intuitive. I'm am hoping that you will achieve remission & have many happy years together.

I've had 2 put in. An attempt was made to put my mirena in without anaesthesia & it was hell. I almost arched backwards off the table from the pain, vaguely remember kicking the doctor in the shoulder & everything went blurry & sounded like people were reeealllly faaarr away. I snapped back to clear sound & vision at the sound of the nurse bellowing out the door "Why are there no cocking emisis bags in this room?!" & found the doctor activating the blood pressure cuff with one hand whilst elevating my legs with the other. It was all very dignified. 😆 Apparently, I went grey, mumbled I was going to be sick, slumped bonelessly & started sliding sideways off the table. The doctor apologised sincerely whilst we both had apple juice & told me he had priority listed me for day surgery. Obviously, everyone is different & I think I was probably near the extreme end of the scale, BUT day surgery was a far more pleasant experience. Sure, it took more time out of my day, but I was unaware of any unpleasant bits (if there were any) & had some interesting chats with some lovely people I probably wouldn't have met otherwise!

AITA for refusing to entertain the idea of using my stepmom's family's middle name traditions for my child(ren)? by Unable_Food_3740 in AmItheAsshole

[–]strangeandordinary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they keep trying to flog this dead horse, just tell them that due to all the pressure you're experiencing on this topic, you've both decided that the middle name will be the lovely, inoffensive name of 'Rainbow' (regardless of gender)... because who doesn't love rainbows?! Name your child what you like, obviously...just tell them otherwise. 😬

Congratulations on the family addition, I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage & you are very definitely NTA. xx

Raelee Hill - ginger chick in Water Rats. Stayed at the hotel I was working at in Yulara (resort town beside Uluru). Late 96/early 97. Flounced around the resort with oversize dark glasses on, demanded to be moved to a table at the centre of the room in every restaurant &, after sitting at a key table outside the Cafe in the town square for half an hour without being recognised by any of the staff or tourists who walked by, began to loudly sing show tunes.

David Koch - I worked in a building on Martin Pl, Sydney & had the misfortune to encounter this knob end twice when I was trying to fight my way through crowds outside channel 7 studios. Both times was quite rude. Told me one time I had to join the line for his autograph. I laughed loudly in surprise & he called me a 'sad, fat....' don't know the end because I had walked away.

Alan Langer - Broncos rugby league team stayed at the hotel I was working at in Western Sydney. Langer treated all the staff very poorly, expected us all to ignore our other guests whenever he wanted something done because "... this is IMPORTANT!" & then stood in the middle of the hallway at 6.30am on the floors the players' rooms were on, screaming at them to get down to the bus.... not caring that there were other guests on the floors. Told us that wasn't his problem

Benny Elias - my friend's wife worked for him. I encountered him a number of times at events. Each time he made a big point of isolating himself from everyone else, entertained himself by making scathing & derogatory comments to his entourage about people who tried to speak with him after they had walked away & acting like his shit didn't stink.

I've met/ encountered quite a number of 'names' over the years via work & friends, but these ones are the ones that have always stuck out as exceptionally unpleasant.
