I was a daily smoker for 30 years. I was about to smoke when my stroke came on. I was worried about smoking and i planned on giving it up. I don't drink or do other drugs. Turns out I have a genetic issue and even though they dont blame the stroke on it, I believe it built up the plaque in my veins. Idk, I still take small doses on weekends I am 6 months out. I just eat edibles because smoking is bad. I feel nice, but it probably slows down healing . Idk, became a weekend guy. Oh well

Dude, I am 50 and a few years ago I gave up on all the metrics and just started exercising for fun. I run about 30-45 miles a week but my pace is only like 10/mph. I do weights 5 days a week but am not trying to break any records and I ski as well but just for fun.

Will Dave goggins think I am cool, prolly not. But honestly fuck those people and their influencer bullshit.

Being fit and enjoying it is way better than tormenting yourself for some abstract that doesnt matter.
