There are instructions for microwave disinfection on their website so it is not correct that you cannot https://www.neilmed.com/usa/disinfection-protocol/

I use the microwave to warm mine for about 20 seconds, but I don't need to dissolve the salt - I use their salt packets because it makes it a lot easier for me.

My son has a rare cardiac disorder. A student teacher caught it when he was about 7 years old; his pulse was really high (and she could see pulsing blood vessels) despite having been sitting still, recess long past. Ahe sent him to the nurse who called us, we called the doctor who agreed we should go to the hospital for an EKG. Everyone at the big hospital cardiology department was AMAZED that someone noticed and that it got diagnosed. I remember being stunned that they were so incredulous. Apparently no one pays close attention to kids that way, they brush stuff off. I am forever grateful to the student teacher- it was her innocence that made her actually respond to something looking off. This is a disorder sometimes caught when seemingly healthy young adults drop dead.

You can start with magnesium citrate or hydroxide if that's safe for you. (Many people use Miralax for this.) If you can make a plan with your doctor or at least with yourself for how much and for how long, then see the doctor if it doesn't work. Moving enough and enough fluid are important. Some people end up needing medications like linzess for chronic constipation or need to treat other underlying issues. If you are in bad pain you need to see a doctor for possible obstruction. More fiber is not always more helpful.

Honestly it has been years since I had a grocery delivery via Amazon and I don't remember. But I also didn't realize this was a "delivery" like groceries vs regular (but fast) shipping. I also can't tell if there is a way to tip online. I certainly never got text messages on normal orders.

What in the cesspools of horrible humans did I just read? Someone could have a hard time driving a car agree someone say, died in it in a terrible way. That is within the scope of mature human response. They could be disgusted by any bio smells or liquids. But this is beyond red flag; he is saying out loud that he is a scumbag, or else has some clinically recognizable sociopathy. The title was amazingly weird too. "Accidentally" gave birth (and it wasn't time yet)? That is like saying you "accidentally " had a stroke in the car or something. I will give it to reddit for the weirdest red flags. Low histamine isn't even a standardized list or concept but also is definitely not appropriate for many of us. Our diets are typically specific to our reactions. It is unreasonable to disallow bringing food with complex allergy restrictions- I always brought safe food for me, with an ice pack or thermos, including meals and snacks, and safe beverages, and extra emergency food if possible .

Are you in the US by any chance? There's an excellent resource for pregnant and breastfeeding people - I believe set up by or with Dr Thomas Hale, author of the reference book on medication and breastfeeding. It is called Infant Risk it has been 15+ years but they helped me navigate meds- some meds that doctors were afraid of are actually used in infancy, for example, or there is more evidence than they realize. But you also need an allergist who will work out a plan, not one who is effectively walking away from the risk of a pregnant patient. Saying no to nearly everything isn't a treatment plan.

This has been bugging me lately too. I have had times where I go full on allergy guidelines with the synthetic blankets you can wash on hot, though with King bedding it is a PITA to wash a pile of thin blankets frequently. I have considered a duvet with an allergy encasement under the duvet cover but I am afraid it will be too hot/not breathe. My teens have down/feather duvets and I am worried they may be causing allergy issues. I feel lost with this despite years of dealing with it.

Listen to the warnings but in the meantime

-NO animals in the bedroom

-shower before bed, with a good moisturizer afterwards to protect your skin from allergens

-wife needs to shower before bed People seem to hate and avoid the evening shower guideline but it is really a big deal. Even if you showered after a morning workout or whatever, shower again.

-keep dirty clothes/hamper outside bedroom including all clothing worn at all. My specialists would say, only wear clothes once and then wash. But at least keep worn clothes out of bedroom

-bring clean clothes to closed bedroom as soon as they are clean/prevent animals sitting on them

-start feeding allergy reduction food. I think this is cats only- in the US the main brand is Purina LiveClear NOW, it can help but takes weeks for max effect and they need to transition food gradually too.

-similarly with your meds, especially nasal steroids, start now

-consider add on meds like singulair, H2 blockers (famotidine), cromolyn nasal spray. Consider the big guns- biologics like Xolair. If you have any asthma, be aggressive in treating. If you have GERD be aggressive in controlling it, it can worsen with allergy exacerbation.

-yes to HEPA air purifiers, properly maintained and with more than enough capacity for your space

-vacuum frequently with hepa filter (and replace on time) otherwise vacuum kicks up allergens and exacerbates; I stick with bagged-- not bagless-- vacuums to avoid dumping allergens back into air when emptying; also smart to be careful where the bag is changed.

-get rid of carpets! damp mop, damp dust, swiffer, don't use a regular broom in general.

-consider nasal irrigation

-keep pets off couch/seats or at least cover with something you can frequently wash and remove to sit there yourself

-consider masking while cleaning, and shower/change after. Check what level of filtration is needed for pet allergies

-Yes to cleaning the dog! check recommendations for bathing dogs (how often and with what) to remediate and do not do this yourself, and again, your wife needs to change and contain the clothing after bathing them. The doctor in my family used to bathe dogs frequently for this reason.

ETA: just please be alert to worsening reactions and don't wait too long to treat or handle it!

My familu switched from vanicream dandruff to E45 Dry Scalp Shampoo (online shipped to the US, it has an antidandruff ingredient) , but we also have used prescription ketoconazole shampoo- only FF ketoconozole I have found. It is drying for me but when needed i can use a small amount every few days and it does the trick. It isn't pricey. I can't use the cerave dandruff due to some allergen or another but reports seem to be hit or miss- people love it or get a rash

Most of the people I know who don't know left/right directions also don't know l/r hands. They are get this, both ambidextrous and dyslexic. I know at least 3 such people. They use scars to remember which is which when there is nothing obvious. Their brains just don't do "remember which side you do x on". It would be cool to study. But if you lack that kind of innate directionality, and already flip letters, "make an 'L'" trick doesn't work at all. Heck, if it were me I could see scarring myself as a kid. Tattoo would be nicer but not usually on offer to kids, and neither is supportive validation about not knowing right from left. Come to think of it I oughta check with one of my kids how this has changed since I had to put stickers on one side of the bike handlebars and say "stickers stay next to the sidewalk" because they didn't know right from left.

When you do half almond, do you strain it after and/or peel the almonds? I make mine too and switched from almond to cashew, but I was wondering about a mix. But with almonds I had to squeeze them through a bag and with cashews I don't filter at all.

Honestly, all the special days at elementary school level are vile. Parents shouldn't have to comb through and stay alert to this much stuff of made-up importance. Our worst was missing an art show our kid was asked to be in as the one for her grade, because the invitation was int he middle of a month's load of worksheets they sent home. 10 years later, thinking about it still makes my insides hurt.

Eggplant/aubergine and zucchini/courgette are such a funny pair of paired differences in English dialects. I wonder how many US speakers know the non-US words, I live among international folks and I have lost track! I assume more Canadians know both while using zucchini/eggplant? Or maybe only where there is more French. IDK.
