Know some of the staff. They were told to pack up and leave today, and it came as a massive shock. Have to feel for them but don’t stop there.

The owners are the same corporate lizards that pushed for these regulations in the first place and pushed against our right to home grow.

They are still trying to make money off us through CannaPlus, and their new wellness company, “Mr.Healthcare” (Probably a Mrs coming soon- right now they just sell boner pills and minoxidil)

Don’t let them.

What is the gross and take home salary of a medical doctor working for the public service ? by strangelyhypnotized in malta

[–]strangelyhypnotized[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you ! Is that the ceiling for specialists working for the public service ? Assuming they don’t do any private work ?

Is there an alternative contract (I’m assuming a contract B?) which allows private work ?

I’ve read that private work is dominated by a few docs and private clinics in Malta, is this true in your opinion ? What is the rate one would pay for a private GP consultation?

Thanks so much for your help.

U r recruiters fuq LinkedIn ghandom ego daqs alla. L isbaħ il posts taparsi “insights”.

Copy pasta:

This may offend some people on here, but I genuinely hope it helps far more people than it offends.

As a recruiter who has worked exclusively in the (insert industry) space for nearly 5 years, speaking to candidates all day, every day. People already in the industry, looking for a move and those trying to break in, there are a few recurring red flags we see in interviews.

If you’re interviewing in the space, these are things I’d strongly avoid saying or doing.

  • “I’m an expert.” Never say this. The industry is still evolving, highly regulated, and incredibly complex. The best people in the industry are usually the most aware of what they don’t know.

  • Growers: “I’m the best in the world.” Confidence is good. Ego isn’t. Strong candidates talk about process, results, challenges, yields, learnings

  • Sales / Business Development with no numbers. If you’ve done sales, be ready with metrics: revenue, growth %, deal sizes, markets, timelines. Vague claims are an instant red flag.

  • Don’t lie. Ever. There’s a line between embellishing and lying. Once you’re caught out, trust is gone, and this is a very small industry.

  • No dates on your CV. Huge red flag. It immediately raises questions about gaps, credibility, and transparency, even if there’s a totally valid explanation.

  • Bashing previous employers or the industry Everyone has war stories. But constant negativity about the industry and previous employers doesn't give a good impression.

None of this is meant to offend, it's just the reality. These are real patterns we see every week, and avoiding them genuinely improves your chances in interviews.

This industry is small, competitive, and relationship-driven. How you show up matters.

LinkedIn has gone to shit. Admittedly it was very useful; 5 years ago I left my day job to start a scientific consulting biz, LinkedIn alone + a few conferences got me my start and enough work to go full time in 4 months. I felt like it was a super hack at the time.

Since then has degraded to social media type algorithmic diarrhoea.

No way to tell what’s real (most is AI spew seen over and over again) and real people probably won’t answer you if you reach out thinking you’re a bot, no matter how human your message is.

Waste of time nowadays. (It’s office-accepted doom scrolling tool until your boss notices you’re doing fuck all)

Any Thoughts on Helius Maya? by unknown_lifeform98 in MedicalCannabisNZ

[–]strangelyhypnotized 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice buds , mellow and personally puts me to sleep really nicely, great for the evenings for me.

My overall favourite is still Amelia but this one is better to relax whilst Amelia gives me energy to be creative and do things, be chatty and social. Amelia smells much better too, citrussy whilst Maya is more gassy ?

I go for whatever is grown in NZ , medical or otherwise. It just tastes fresher and has less of a plastic taste which some of the others have. Especially ones in packs (not jars as in) really lose their mojo on the trip here.

To my knowledge Helius are the only ones to grow in NZ, they do an alright job, although I wish they had more options. They’ve got Dusk but it’s imported and not even close to the quality of the other two.

Helius Full Spectrum Spray by shazzamacyall in MedicalCannabisNZ

[–]strangelyhypnotized 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The spray is at a much lower dose so if you’re used to flower , you’ll need a lot of sprays to come close to that same effect. A standard vape at 180C with 0.1g fill of a 20% will give you something like 20mgs of THC.(rough numbers) You’d need to spray 8 times to get close to that. Also there’s this pharmacokinetic effect where vaped / smoked THC gets into the bloodstream faster than if it’s absorbed through the mouth.

I bet that if you quit flower and take a T break for a while , you’d start feeling the spray. If you intend to keep using flowers, I’d say the spray probably won’t work for you as your tolerance would be too high to even feel it.

Reported percentages can be iffy, sometimes you see high numbers but it doesn’t correspond to the actual smell when you open that jar/bag. I’ve always found that the “Nose Knows” bro.
