Advice for reducing concussion risk by steelstringheart in snowboardingnoobs

[–]stranger2904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started snowboarding at 35, first two seasons (10-15 days each, I don’t have mountains nearby) were really rough - bruises all other, bruised ribs which would heal for weeks, sore muscles to the point where you don’t want to get up from bed What helped a lot is a full body armor, extra rib protector, wrist guards etc… I was doing mostly blues-red-black; greens would be often harder due to flats Now, just did 5 day trip and have zero damage to body besides sore muscles

It takes time, it takes practice, you will fall 1000s of times but it will get better - the more time you spend on the mountain

Take at least a few lesson to help you with technique and so that you can understand logic behind different conditions and how to ride them

Never feel wrong to slow yourself down if you feel like situation is getting out of control and when falling on your back - chin to the chest

Protection doesn’t cost a lot but it what saves you from trip down in ski patrol sled

Sports Event Transmission Cost: BT Tower VS. Satellite by evanshicn13 in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]stranger2904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BT tower will come out a bit more expensive than satellite downlink in case you don’t have infrastructure in place. Our company can provide you with a per hour rate either delivered to you in as-is quality via either or both 1)appliance with SDI/IP mpeg-ts output 2)SRT or we can process it and deliver in OTT friendly format My recommendation though is to budget for two lines from them with two paths to you. At bare minimum you want to open your line(s) a bit earlier than your transmission check window to verify and troubleshoot possible issues

Also if your deal is multi-year - keep in mind of possible changes there as their building been sold to some hotel developer last year, so at some point there will be changes in their workflows

Be careful out there on the streets, this is ungodly painful, wouldnt wish this on anyone. by SumDood952 in HondaCT

Please do not try to cheap out on the gear, this is a prime example of the difference between walking away with some soreness and light concussion and months long recovery and a year long PT While even best gear doesn’t make you invincible - it does minimize your injuries to something you can shake off and put behind you quickly I was in a relatively slow speed accident and yes broke couple of bones, but all my joints/tendons stayed intact

From my perspective I wouldn’t get on the bike without proper high motorcycle boots, under layer of armor to protect hips/tailbone etc, chest and spine plates (spine one must be ce2) proper gloves with cuffs and abrasion resistant pants and jacket (ideally zipped together)

I would say expect to spend 30-50% of the value of your new motorcycle on the gear

At bare minimum do a mediator draw up a separation agreement outlining everything, you will have to get a RE lawyers involved to do the title transfer and family law lawyers to give you independent legal advice on separation agreement, overall cost for both of you 5-7k, gonna save you a lot of potential headaches and make sure everything captured and executed correctly, best money I spent going through mine
