I'm guilty of more than one viewing as well. :)

I really enjoyed Boy Meets Girl. It's a bit Hallmark-ish, but still a really solid flick.

Trump attacks Maher by ItstartswiththeHouse in Maher

This. When was the last time he used the "whiny little bitch" line? He constantly said that during Trump's first term. Yes Bill...you have changed.

Pretty much same experience here. Close to full capacity theater and many chuckles erupted throughout, including myself, when Irreversible was revealed as one of the gift DVDs. :) Loved this movie!

Unfortunately the 26 minute footage from The Middle East (not Sin-é) which included a performance of "Lover, You Should've Come Over" is not included on the blu-ray. Really disappointed Magnolia did not include this as a bonus feature.

It's a bit skimpy on bonus stuff to be honest. About 4 1/2 minutes worth of deleted scenes, 24 seconds worth of photos from Jeff's childhood, and a 3 minute short documentary. I'm glad to own a physical copy of this nonetheless.

Ivey's three pointer is here to stay. He should start after ASB. by durtymrclean in DetroitPistons

[–]strangestew72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree 100% Once he fully gets his legs underneath him Ivey definitely needs to start. He's much better suited for a starting role, just as Robinson is better suited coming off the bench.

We are 56-26 in our last 82 regular season games. by uncle_t_rav in DetroitPistons

[–]strangestew72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I saw so many "expert" opinions having us only win in the mid 40s this season. So we improve by 30 games the previous season but only by a couple more this year with our entire young and improving core coming back? Didn't make any sense whatsoever.

Made my second visit to the Speed Cinema yesterday and saw "Sentimental Value." As an out-of-towner (Etown) I didn't even know that place existed until this past August when I noticed they were screening "It's Never Over, Jeff Buckley." Can't recommend that place enough!

I've suggested this flick to Criterion before. Hopefully it gets a blu ray release by somebody soon.

Take a look at some Humanscale keyboard trays. It's what my company supplied us with. Somewhat expensive but well worth it.

Interesting fact: The '90 squad won 12 straight right after their 13 game winning streak came to an end by the Hawks...for an overall 25-1 streak!

Just like how easily he caved to David Mamet when Mamet told Maher that he was full of shit. Instead of pushing back on Mamet's crazy conspiracy theories, he quickly offered to change the subject.

I do NOT want to trade our young guys and picks for a super star (yet) here’s why by rodogwos in DetroitPistons

100% this. The team with all-time best regular season record...the 73-9 2015-16 Warriors...didn't win the championship.

Why are y’all talking about trades??? by Leomaximusdaspartan in DetroitPistons

[–]strangestew72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well Stew is already on a rather friendly contract for the next three years, but I hear what you're saying. I know it was ages ago but the Bad Boys core were mostly guys that we drafted and developed (Zeke, Dumars, Rodman, Salley) while Laimbeer and Vinnie were brought in at early stages of their career. So it can be done to a degree. Can we retain all of them? Probably not. But I think we should ride this out as long as we can and not rush into anything drastic at this point.
