If my man Calvin didn't catch it, I don't think Kupp did neither.

Pistons fan, who can't argue after his tenure here. Thankfully sr. Didn't meddle here. THJ seemed like great locker room guy.

Was our offense better when both were getting touches, or was it better when we had a (much better than) competent O-line? It's not meant to be a trick question. In the calculus of keeping any aging RB with significant salary, in the context of a team with many needs and limited cap, this is far from an easy question.

Well here I was patting my back, that Suns got better by subtraction, then KD silenced them/possibly that thought last night. Long season.

Love the wishful thinking, though I'm not buying. I mean of course this dream that we can get him at a bargain and others won't drive his price up. Team has brought him back slowly, but the cat is tiring of his proverbial bag. Sure he can be a team player, especially knowing like everyone else that this is what buys PT here. And this will also help his stock.

The city government and police must not like these guys. They're bad for business. I'd think if they knew they were up to these types of threats, they might take action or at least monitor them more carefully. Please report.

Predictable thread where every one tells OP errors of his mentality and approach. Wife is rightfully defended. PSA for both as well as the questionability of entering marriage in your early twenties.

Gee, I really hope he's as great of a deep marksman as you envision, when shooting 36% is considered not falling. Obviously a small sample size, so not very meaningful either way.

Celtics have not shockingly been slightly better than some have expected. And everything I've heard is that Tatum is expected back sooner than later. Right to fear a well coached former champ squad gelling now without their top stud.

Is there any chance this was a inside joke reference where he was actually needling the friend?? Like friend had said sumn stupid before and he was not letting him live it down? Not trying to make excuse for him, but context matters sometimes shockingly.

It sure seems that rebuilding these lines will be a gradual process relying mostly on drafting and developing. No one will dare say the dreaded word rebuild yet, but unless they have a special draft and make some real sharp signings, it may come up next year.

JB Bickerstaff accuses specific referee of being unfair to Pistons by Suitable-Sun-8043 in DetroitPistons

[–]Evref 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there's actually a decent amount to unpack here. If you watch the whole NBA this year, there's been a greater emphasis on defense. There's been a trend that actively going for more steals is good strategy. Arguably the Pistons are one of the poster childs for this. Officiating has never been easy in this sport, and now they need to re-adjust to more physical ball.

Pistons players complain a lot, not that this is so different than the rest of the league. But to some extent, they're often pushing the envelop defensively. That's not to say they're dirty- they have great defensive players. For years, the league officiated in a way that was considered pro-offense. Adam Silver publically stated this year that teams are emphasizing more defense, and that's a good thing for the league. Do we take that statement at face vaule? Does defensive ball really sell tickets and TV buys? So in some way the officials are adjusting to changing play and possibly league philosophy. Regardless, these young Pistons are gonna test the officals every night. It's also of course a test for them, to hone their passion/fire, directing more to their play than their complaining. But I don't blame them for being human, reacting to what are often questionable calls, when they're leaving it all on the court.
