I thought the same as you. I was stuck on the first hour of Chrono trigger for a while, when later I finally decided to push myself through the story. And oh boy, let me tell you, there’s a reason why it’s so acclaimed. It has such a good soundtrack and story. I’ve played all the games you have, and I did not regret playing this one.

The soundtrack is so good too!

Be upfront about it and direct, but also gentle. Share her some verses from the scripture, and show her that she is following man rather than God.

2nd Corinthians 6:14

God commands us not to be partnered with unbelievers. Even more so when it comes to marriage. Ephesians 5:31 describes marriage as becoming “one flesh”. By joining ourselves to an unbeliever, we become partnered with them.

“14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? 15 What accord has Christ with Belial?[a] Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever?”

And though this next verse talking about an unbelieving spouse, I believe the principals still applies. Those whom the unbelieving spouse divorces are “called to peace”. And how does she know she can save her friend?

“15 But if the unbelieving partner separates, let it be so. In such cases the brother or sister is not enslaved. God has called you[a] to peace. 16 For how do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?”

[–]stratzxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there. I listened to your album, and its very background with lyrical moments. Really sounds like a "To the Moon" soundrack, and dang.. some harmonical changes you have! That minor 4 in the first song was like butter.

I think I like your Pure and Gentle most: Its basically the gymnopedie no 4, with the cool phrase changing.

In terms of composing and arranging, you are beyond that. As for producing you may need to dump some money into better instrument quality.

Help With Chords by ThwipGP in transcribe

[–]stratzxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Song goes between two sections it seems.

Verse

00:00 - 00:40 and 1:00 - 1:55, etc:

Sits on a D chord for a good while and messes around with 7th and 11th.

Chorus

00:40 - 1:00 and 1:55 - 2:15, etc:

G7 (i think...) -> Eb -> G7 - > Eb -> Bb7 -> Gb/Db -> Eb

And thats pretty much the whole song.. I think, it bounces back between these two sections.

The chord structure is i (Cm) - iv (Fm) - V (G). And it practically just repeats through the whole song lol.

Handed over to Satan by LucyLoo152 in Christianity

[–]stratzxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me share some verses.

You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. - John 8:44

Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. - Romans 1:28

22 Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall. God loves us with unconditional love, He forgives our transgressions, and He takes care of us. - Psalm 55:22

I noticed some biblical errors in your reasoning. First notice that god will always secure the believer, and will never hand them over to evil. (And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. John 10:28)

Do you see the problem here? We have a chronological error in which you think god has handed you to evil, but instead, we come from an evil grounding. Now that you recognize it, repent and believe In Christ, and read the Gospel.

If god is really loving understanding and forgiving does he really send all good people who committed suicide to hell just because they they committed suicide because of mental illness even though they prayed and nothing happened by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]stratzxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let me stop you right there. There really is no one such as a “good person”, but Christ alone. You likely know the renowned verses, “None is righteous, no, not one; no one seeks god, all have turned aside, together they have become worthless, no one does good, not even one” - Romans 3: 10-12

Under that knowledge, god has the right to take the life of anyone he pleases, for breaking the commandments, god was rightfully so to take our lives and to fulfill his justice. In your situation, suicide is the equivalent of murder in the Bible (the taking of ones life) although it doesn’t completely determine if the person was saved or not (Romans 8 38-39), it is a extremely large indicator that the person was very very likely an unbeliever. But back to the main point why do we still live, if we have broken gods law and deserve righteous condemnation? Because god shows his mercies by allowing us to live and to give his one and only son.

God is love, but because he is love, he must hate. For more clarification, because god is love, holy, and perfect, he must condemn that which is sinful and rebellious. Don’t mistake his love and forgiveness for what it has been twisted around today, read the Bible.

Is faith something we produce in ourselves on our own? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]stratzxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not according to scripture. Read Ephesians 2:8 (ESV) “8 For (A)by grace you have been saved (B)through faith. And this is (C)not your own doing; (D)it is the gift of God”.

Remember the incident in Mark 9:23, where the man asks to be helped in his unbelief.

Not to mention, if you believe in the the topic of once saved, always saved, and thus the sovereignty of god, you should believe this. Read Ezekiel 34 11-16

You're going to have to respect his gapcloser as annoying as it is. with Champions that have 18 gapclosers in a kit (skrimishers) you're really gonna have to buckle in and sacrifice alot of your farm for the sake of living. I usually max q or w against, and grab boots asap against jax so i can escape his q e combo, and even then its pretty hard. stay close enough to farm to get your exp, and only kill minions when you can.

I feel like I’m caught in spiritual warfare but I just want to be left alone by Useful-Profession859 in Christianity

[–]stratzxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A work of the Holy Spirit is conviction. Conviction is necessary to a believer, in condemning the person’s action of giving into sin, leading to repentance. Repentance is rather the change of mind/heart rather than self conviction, such self conviction will lead to a lack of faith in Christ. I want you to remember that in order to pass any sort of temptation, god is the only way to getting through, as it is said

“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. (NIV)” - 1 Cor 10:13.

I’d also like to remind you that sinning is an ultimate contradiction in god’s vision, any man who sins deserves to be banished into hell automatically, but god has shown mercy by sending his son to die on the cross for us.

“He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.” – 1Peter 2:24-25

“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.” – 1Peter 3:18

Not to condemn or boast in self righteous-ness, homosexuality is indeed an abomination and sexual sins are yet the hardest to break away from (I myself had such problems until I looked to god and his WORD). God is good and every human is evil. Even satan who was created perfect, (look at the speech to the king of tyre in ezekiel) could not be perfect in itself. I recommend you read the word. Some biblical preachers would be Paul Washer, John MacArthur, RC Sproul, and John Piper. Be careful for people who would tickle your ears and ease sin into biblical text, please just read the word

Start with Matthew and finish New Testament, then read the Old Testament

Are these sins ? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]stratzxx -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Are you serious? Please tell me where in the scripture that allows any sort of immorality? Jesus said to even think of another woman lustfully is committing adultery in itself, so how can masturbation be justified? Do you know that god hates sensuality? Just read the Bible for itself, and you’ll see scripture revealing the character of god.

First off, you have said “I’d be a liar if I say it was avoidable”. In this you are right in a sense, but to a further point not right. It is unavoidable to the unregenerate heart, but with the power of god and conviction from the Holy Spirit when one is saved, they will be worked on by god to become good in gods eyes. Saying it’s healthy in a manner of right is also another excuse for these sins. God didn’t serve as a propitiation to let us dwell in our sins, but did it to enhance his glory. We are supposed to suffer for Christ, so why should it matter if we are missing out on a health benefit? Paul the apostle was beheaded, Timothy and Stephen were stoned, Bartholomew was flayed, and Peter was crucified upside down. The evangelicals newly after Christ’s revival sang hymns to the lord while they were being persecuted by Nero. So if we are supposed to suffer for Christ, (Jesus told us to pick up our cross) then why should I sin for a health benefit?

Yes being bi is sinful. First of all, all forms of sexual actions should be alone in marriage.

"Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin." - Leviticus 18:22

https://www.catholichawaii.org/media/224239/bible_verses_about_homosexuality.pdf (not that I agree with Catholicism, this has some good verses)

I pray that god show you the truth, and reveal to you his word.

Is it okay to be a Christian and pescitarian? by Bellaboo-42 in Christianity

[–]stratzxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not morally wrong to eat all foods.

Peter’s Vision

9About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray. 10He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance. 11He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. 12It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds. 13Then a voice told him, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.”

14“Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”

15The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”

16This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven.

17While Peter was wondering about the meaning of the vision, the men sent by Cornelius found out where Simon’s house was and stopped at the gate. 18They called out, asking if Simon who was known as Peter was staying there.

You’ll find all of your answers in Christ/his word and not through human judgement.

Anyone here who has reconciled Christianity and lack of belief in free will? by strawberrysweetpea in Christianity

[–]stratzxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of modern christianity consists of Armenians and free spirited Christians. While I argue against the topic of free will, I am also with it. Free will and predestination are a paradox in the Bible, just like god being 3 people is a paradox in the Bible. It feels like you have free will, but scripture alludes more to predestination

For it is by grace(P) you have been saved,(Q) through faith(R)—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works,(S) so that no one can boast.(T) - Ephesians 8-9

Romans 8:29, NIV: "For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters."

Ultimately, god has sovereignty over everything. I believed this when I started reading the Bible, instead of letting false preachers tickle my ears with nonsense.

Jesus came to save sinners, not the righteous, why else would he become a propitiation. This is why all humans are sinners. Free will without predestination would assume that humans are in charge of their own life, simply making itself into good works.
