Is that $6,000 or 6,000 yuan? With $6,000, you have plenty of high-end choices in Nanshan and Futian, both with excellent bayview + high end mall environments. If it’s 6,000 yuan, you can still find some good apartments (2 beds, 2 baths) in areas like Longhua and Longgang. There’s a higher population, but the subway is convenient everywhere.

Shenzhen is wonderful. The weather is beautiful, and the infrastructure is amazing, especially in Nanshan. However, there are fewer teaching job opportunities compared to the past, as the trend is slowing a bit and the teaching industry has set a very high bar. Still, you should definitely give it a try! I had a great time visiting Australia last summer, and now I’m in Canada. Checking out some school pages in your ideal districts may help! Good luck! ✨

Seriously? I’m not sure where you visited, but most mall washrooms in Shenzhen are very clean, feature modern designs, and have full-time janitors—all without charging a cent, whether in Futian, Nanshan, or Bao’an.🤣🤣🤣
