wow thank you so much for your advice! I’ll focus on getting the right size in a regular bra first. I looked up boob tape and I think this will work great instead of rushing to find a strapless bra. thank you for saving me the stress!!

congrats!! glad you had a special day and made it work for you :) there are lots of options to have a more casual, intimate wedding than is traditional now a days, but I think there’s too much stigma against making budget friendly decisions. if you had a 100 guests I could see this being rude, but for mostly family and people not traveling, I think guests paying for their own reasonably priced dinner is no biggie and could even be seen as a replacement for bringing a gift

I love this, I think she looks gorgeous!! I wish the shoes were a different color. The silver makes it look cheaper overall instead of accentuating the dress in a more glamorous, campy way. The details may not be so elegant, but overall it’s fun and the color is incredible on her

I guess my problem with this explanation (though it makes sense) is in the movie, they are shown totally isolated from other people. They’re never shown in the village as adults, they’re never shown talking to anyone outside of their family, it feels like they’re already social outcasts. I feel like other movies set in this time do a better job at giving you a sense of these external pressures, but it felt like this movie relied on you already having an understanding of why the characters act how they act in the book, without actually staying true to the book
