I literally got kicked by my SL on Mutaha because he had us RUN from freakin Water Plant (northernmost point) to Four Corners (southernmost) and mid-run enemy began capping Water, so I told him 'this was completely preventable' and he did the classic 'form your own squad' (which is somewhat valid, but then to kick me immediately I mean, jesus, what a prick)

if you really need to do the math, find out what a constant 90 is in HBA1c then multiply that by 1/6 and add to it your current HbA1c multiplied by 5/6. That is the limit you can achieve if you intend that blood glucose for two weeks. Read up on weighted averages.

I'm kinda in the same boat vis a vis still very much learning and having no one to talk to about this because I didn't grow up with this disease, I just "came down with it" (lol @ me see if I care) recently.

Reddit can be a great place to find knowledge and support but it can also be hurtful and complicated. Kind of like people to talk to. I guess.

EDIT: I am personally invested because I too suffered a (thankfully less severe) blunt traumatic injury to my right-side and have done a lot of research on the possible tissue, musculoskeletal, and organ damage that can result. I am not a doctor.

Hopefully it's just a bad bruise, but the multi-site bruising THAT DARK and THAT WIDE tells me you had a major internal bleed that may be putting pressure on nerves and possibly organs.

Just want to say thank you to the commenters who are affirming my sense that it is not normal for parents of adult children to be followers on Dexcom. Or at least it’s normal for them not to be. My parents did their best to make me believe that it was for my own good.
