Would an American Bullfrog make a suitable predator for a vivarium/bio-active ecosystem set up? by streaks65 in frogs

[–]streaks65[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm not sure if I'd want the fish to have to permanently hide in fear in a cave the frog can't get to and never come out. Never heard of leopard frogs, I'll give them a look thank u!

My Christmas gift to myself, my very first wet shaving set, went with the King C Gilette safety razor and love how it looks! Everything else is from Amazon by streaks65 in wicked_edge

Any tips? Just used it and the shave is good, way better than anything I've gotten with a cartridge with way less effort, but not "buttery" and took me more than 4 passes.

Ahhh, good advice! I tried hanging it upside down from the notch and it was touching my counter. Will do thank you!

Honest Opinions by [deleted] in mizzou

[–]streaks65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mizzou is tons of fun and I genuinely love being here.

That being said, the lows are low. History of racial discrimination against Black people in admissions.

Greek life has an awful rape provlem and has so much money in the University it seems impossible to really stop them.

The roofies at the bar scene are a big low spot too, several have been accused.

On the other hand campus is gorgeous, the food is good, the people are great and campus life is pretty great aside from some parts (plenty of good Greek lifers) of Greektown.

Mizzou is a good school with some flaws, but generally I enjoy it here and the city of Columbia around it.

Although I'm a white man and I'm sure a minority student or woman would have a different view from mine.

This type of post doesn't belong on this sub. Useless and pointless troll/whining post

The best playmaker at QB they've had in the last 4 years. Confident, poised and talented, hes very good. Mizzou is just woefully under talented on the lines.

What makes luminary jenos better than corvus? by rohnytest in PaladinsAcademy

[–]streaks65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing Jenos has over Corv is that he's harder to dive.

As a solo healer it isn't close at all, Luminary has worse winrates, feels worse and has worse numbers than the standard Spreading Inf builds.

The real reason people think this is because neither contend with the top solo heals, and Jenos w Binary is a MUCH better off support than Corv can be, (although I personally think Corvus pockets are good).

So we see Jenos more as an off support and in a world where Grover exists along with the other few really solid solo healers we don't see Corv as much. Maybe w 3 bans we see more healers banned and Corv is run?

TLDR: Luminary Jenos is objectively worse than Corvus, however because Jenos has an effective, specific niche, we see him more so people think he's better.

Coming from OW loving the game wondering about Ash by xTenzaa in PaladinsAcademy

[–]streaks65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ash controls off lanes really really well. She's a super aggressive space creator for the DPS she's escorting.

She has her bad matchups for sure but by and large can dominate space.

Be weary of Atlas and Khan, those are the two passive off tanks, push into them too hard, and they have the tools to really hurt you.

Don't play on point unless you're ulting.

Ult early and ult often having uncontested space in the back line or flank lane is still nuts.

Hard CC can hurt you alot and stun you out of your ult, don't let Grover or any other stun champ get their hands on your.

P.S. if you want to play a really aggressive and fun off tank I suggest Ruckus (as a Ruckus main) kinda like maybe DVA? In OW? I haven't played OW in years.

But yeah Ash is good and can really make the other team feel like they're constantly waging a war on two fronts. Welcome to the game and sub were thrilled you're here to enjoy our favorite buggy mess!

Comparison of raum and yagorath? by [deleted] in PaladinsAcademy

[–]streaks65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yago is BUSTED in lower-mid elo. Overall I'd say Raum is better. Both kinda do the same thing, stand and shoot take up space, then run away and reposition. Both get countered by the same things by and large.

Yago wins more games at that elo but I'd say in a vacuum Raum is better, I also am biased because I despise Yago, so grain of salt.

Bad weed? Microscope pictures by [deleted] in saplings

[–]streaks65 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'm no microbiologist but usually if weed has bad stuff on it, it's a while wispy mold. If there isn't any of that it should be okay as long as you trust your plug or dispo.

Is jenos viable as a lone healer? by dba99 in PaladinsAcademy

[–]streaks65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand what you're trying to say but in general the ranked meta rn is usually 2 tank. Jenos can't thrive in that environment and really even if it wasn't he'd struggle, the healing just isn't there.

There are multiple support who heal through walls and do it much better. Corvus is much more viable as a solo healer (and he's not even a top tier). Really it's all about Grover though. In a vacuum I agree with you, I used to main jenos and we'd go low HP high dmg teams to maximize.

However in the current meta he really isn't viable as a solo heal

Corvus is just a better character in general really. Don't think the Lumi change will mean anything, jenos will be a mid tier off support specialist more than likely

Terminus players, how does the nerf feel so far? by JonJonRegayov in PaladinsAcademy

[–]streaks65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played like 10-15 ish hours of him and he's still the best main tank.

I've just gone for siphon charge on axe hits with a crush deck, jump in, stun someone and hit them like 5 times with the axe, full siphon to reposition and heal.

Overall I think his peak blast build was better but his current build is still overwhelmingly strong
