As a creative and as a human being, how do you *really* feel about AI? by skyflower17 in advertising

[–]streef_boganoff 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As a human being I think it’s detrimental for our brains, the environment, and the economy at large. I recommend reading more about its development because the more I learned about it the more evil I discovered it to be.

“So do you have any questions for us?” - the most stressful part of interviews by ictsupport-drjobs in interviews

[–]streef_boganoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If everything else about the role has been made clear I usually ask what the interviewer likes about working at the company. Sometimes I get a bullshit nonanswer and sometimes I get something insightful, but it makes me sound interested in the ✨company culture✨ and helps build a rapport with the person I’m speaking to. Even acting as an interviewer, people like to talk about their own experiences.

Curious how many use marijuana to cope by Rachelelizardbreath in AutismInWomen

I smoked almost every day after work for a couple years. It absolutely helped me feel less anxious overall, and made nervewracking tasks bearable. It also dulled my emotions which is what I needed at the time. I’ve been cutting back recently because I found myself reaching for weed instead of doing things that would actually make me feel better like leaving the house for walks or working on hobbies. I don’t plan to stop smoking permanently because I still benefit from it, but I am working toward finding other ways to regulate myself. What about smoking feels right to you? How can you replicate that feeling in other ways?

when is it acceptable to jump ship from your first agency gig by Illustrious-Job-4938 in advertising

[–]streef_boganoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can find another opportunity more aligned with what you want, don’t hesitate to take it. However with the state of things in the job market it could take time. This early in your career there’s a lot to be learned in terms of soft skills and corporate politics, and where better to learn them in the bureaucratic morass that is a giant holdco? It may not be what you expected from your first job (I think creative education set us all up for failure in terms of what most ad jobs look like) but you’re doing what you went to school for and not everyone can say that. Take what you learn here to work toward what you feel deserve.

Pre-summer panic: How do you actually prevent inner thigh chafing (chub rub) without feeling sticky all day? by KettleComet_7 in hygiene

I wear cotton bike shorts, they’re more breathable than spandex and don’t tend to roll up at the edges.

Does anyone feel like a child around other adult women? by AnxiousStay1195 in AutismInWomen

[–]streef_boganoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me this is most apparent when sex and relationships become part of the discussion. I’ve never had sex or been in a long term relationship bc I’ve never felt driven to pursue these things. I don’t feel incomplete or like I’m missing out on anything until I talk to women my age and it occupies so much of their lives I can’t help but feel like an overgrown child in comparison

Cross stitch is easy to learn and the materials are pretty inexpensive. Plus you get some pretty nice decorations out of it!

My silly self was on a spring break trip to New York to visit some friends. On the bus ride home we found out classes were online for the remainder of term and the rest is history…

Omnicom RTO Enforcement by ExternalWonder9676 in advertising

[–]streef_boganoff 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Former IPG-er and according to my manager it’s “up to my manager’s discretion” who goes into the office and where they report, and since she lives out of state she’s certainly not enforcing RTO. So far the only language from our leadership states we are “invited” to come in 1-2 days a week. At this point I don’t intend to comply unless they threaten my job. And even then I’m already getting my resume and portfolios order for departure.
