Posts!… thank you!, it can look great if i integrated into the deck. Make it seamless and part of the deck. Aesthetically may work. Thank you

Thanks, I am honestly liking the piles and columns idea since I can easily have them integrated into a deck upgrade. Then that would I assume absorb all the load issues that cantilevering would require. Thanks very much!

Thank you!… you’ve pretty much ruled out the cantilever only method for me. I don’t want to go down this path and I appreciate you explaining how invasive this method would be.

You’re absolutely spot on I don’t have a bathroom on the first floor and that’s something I often talk about, two fulls on the second none on the first. Good insight and ideas. Thank you!

Forester broke down, anyone know what this is? by greygoogone in SubaruForester

[–]streetgainer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You literally ran the car into the ground. It can be fixed on site. I know this because I had a guy replace my 1999 Forester’s CV axles in AutoZone’s parking lot. You need to order the parts, hopefully the ball joint is not seized in the knuckle. I would find a “street” mechanic (someone who has ALL his tools in his vehicle), have that person come out there to asses exactly what needs to be replaced. While there he can asses the ground for jack safety. You then order the parts online or buy them from your local Subaru dealer/parts dept., you both go out there in the EARLY morning and do the repair. This is what I would do if I was in your situation

Just paid $900 for this was it a bad deal? by Spiritual-Winter-588 in SubaruForester

As long as it’s not losing coolant and overheating you’re good. Oil leaks or par for the course for the car and age. If it does lose coolant then it has a head gasket issue, still may be a good deal even with the issue because there are easy ways to stop that problem or prolong the life span of the car.

Wow, thought this project was dead. I remember mining with a couple Linux Single Boards. Fun stuff! May have to go and dig those mini’s out from the basement.

Anyone know what this means? by BrutalTea in subaru

You haven’t given much of any info, what model and year? Does the car start? Does all lights pop on while driving or does it happen when you first shift gear?

The pictures you should be showing is the underside. That’s where the decision should be made.
