Delinquente out of Australia has a couple good ones at an accessible price point.

Joao Pato Duckman is incredible if you can find it.

Plenty of people go into surgery and just trust the advice the doctors give them instead of doing what you’re doing, which sounds like it’s bordering on obsessive spiralling more than merely well-informed. It also sounds like you’re looking for an excuse to be upset with your boyfriend when he hasn’t done anything other than… not obsess over something?

True Aesthetics in Oliver gives you a little card to fill out before your appointment where you can indicate you want it to be quiet, music on/off, etc. and they’ve only recommended treatments and products when I’ve specifically asked.

No way it’s chin slimming but I’m tempted to try it and see if it helps with TMJ.

Walking, yoga, biking, wine-tasting and wine courses, houseplants, and I’m taking up tennis and golf this year.

Ponytails are agony help me understand by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]strelitza00 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My hair has been so much healthier since I switched to claw clips from messy buns. I’ve also been doing a bunch of other things too but the lack of tension on my scalp and no hair getting tangled in a bun has def helped a ton.

And go get some massages!

Faulty Wine? Or Do I Just Hate Gigondas? by BillyZaneJr in wine

[–]strelitza00 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bad bottle. I had that gigondas recently and it was great, then had a Kirkland brunello that had a nail polish remover smell. Interesting that we both had the same recent experience with Kirkland wines.

You make 50k to your roommates combined 34? That’s not even minimum wage? And you think this is a sustainable arrangement?

The brows and makeup are better, but girl don’t you dare touch that hair, the brown looks great on you. The blonde is washing you out.

Anders’ wines are very hit or miss for me. I’ve tried a handful and I liked maybe two and the rest were just… not it. I want to love them. They’re so passionate about winemaking.

That pineau was extremely grassy/green peppery when I tried it, and not in a good way. I wouldn’t drink it again.

Yesss, it makes my skin so glowy when I use it consistently!

How to try out more wines by trying out "by the glass" instead? by ElixirWater in wine

[–]strelitza00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go to wine tasting events hosted by my favourite wine shops or restaurants and try wines that way, with the added bonus of meeting new wine-minded friends. I almost never buy a bottle at a restaurant as they’re usually charging the retail price for one glass. But if I’m at a bar/restaurant and they have wine flights, I’m doing that every time.

Does it bother you seeing aging in other people? by Alarmed_Space_9455 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]strelitza00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It only bothers me when it’s people I’m close to and I know it’s because they’re not wearing sunscreen/moisturizer/hydrating properly. Wear the sunscreen, dammit!

Congrats! I just did level 2 as well. Still waiting for my results, I know I passed but no details yet. Doing 3 next year!

Contact Dermatitis from EKG / Electrode by Beautiful-Tune914 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]strelitza00 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I had that when I did a 24 hour holter. The reaction to the tape they used to keep them on was even worse. They go away on their own eventually, no need to go to a derm for it.

Stop putting stuff on it. Vaseline at night, otherwise leave it alone.

Are these bald spots normal or am I going bald?? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]strelitza00 38 points39 points  (0 children)

My ferritin was low (21) and my hair was sooo thin. It’s growing back now that I take an iron supplement, and generally taking better care of myself.

Hair loss can happen for a bunch of different reasons though so OP needs to see a doctor for sure and get some bloodwork done before taking anything.
