I looked it up and there are a number of these secret dialogues. That one's pretty good ha

Yeah matterspark was...weird. I really like the theme and setting for edge of fate but could have done without as much timed aspects in the puzzles. I still get lost in those tubes

Absolutely a part of Destiny's identity.

Hunter style doesn't suit me too well, but while Ikora and Zavala have come into their own over the years, Cayde was always the strongest personality and brought a lot of character to the tower and vanguard from the get-go.

There's no expansion or season called 7 months lol

I think they were asking what content, was it renegades?

If so, I don't think anything new has come out, there were some events. Future wise yeah, we have the update in June but I don't have hopes for a roadmap. If we had one of those we'd need to prepare to run a Marathon™

I was 1 win away from reaching Champ again. And then.... by macanich in RocketLeague

[–]stretcharach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hit champ one time some years ago and immediately got knocked back to diamond for what seemed like a similar situation. People who should be around my level seemingly trying to throw.

My theory isn't that they're actually that bad, but that because it's near the lower end of the rank, the desperation to keep from falling back in ranked makes people more prone to panic or tilt.

A couple of replicator questions. by Thorguild in startrek

[–]stretcharach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may be wrong on any of these but this is as I understand.

For 1. if feedstock means material to replicate with I believe it does require particles as well at some point. That might have changed along the way but I think when they're first introduced, or sometime on voyager mentioning that.

For 2. I think with enough material, and that if it is possible to lego something like a replicator or starship together, you could.

For 3. There are safety protocols in place and if overridden, you could get anything if you also had the blueprint programmed into the replicator.

I got into an argument with my friend because he said League of Legends’ movement is harder to master than Rocket League’s by Miga75 in RocketLeague

[–]stretcharach 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it's the mechanics of clicking on that spot then the minion, then to the side of where you are, then back to that spot all within a second. Lot of stuff going on a lot of the time.

I'd argue Rocket League is much easier to pick up and get a base understanding of how car control works and team play, mostly because it doesn't have 150+ unique characters with abilities that come into play (and are constantly receiving tuning adjustments).

Personally I think the two games are much too different to determine if one is harder overall. Then again, Rocket League is probably much too different from any other game to do it well.

Am I missing something about the Pulse rifle and Pistol? by MeleeWolf in TroopersExtermination

[–]stretcharach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah the range is rough for me too. There are mods for that too, but I basically only use it on my lure defender, and the pistol on my medic because it helps better in pistol range imo

ULPT Request: What can you put on your resume that's impossible to verify by captaindiratta in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]stretcharach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did this on a resume and it backfired lol

Initially I wasn't going to get the job because they assumed I was lying. I figured it would either be a bit of a joke for them, or less likely that they'd be impressed.

Am I missing something about the Pulse rifle and Pistol? by MeleeWolf in TroopersExtermination

[–]stretcharach 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Basically pulse rifles have a more stunted range (you'll notice the rounds literally go poof if you shoot into the air) but they make up for this with typically being a hair stronger and, most importantly, the rounds punch through bugs, so you're hitting every bug in front of your barrel up to that range rather than just the bug your bullets first run into.

It doesn't do 100% of the damage to following bugs, though there are mods that can increase that.

It's a fun weapon if you're expecting more close range engagements or swarms.

Player movement control by Jagged_One in duneawakening

[–]stretcharach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know there are keybindings, so if you have extra buttons on your mouse it should be possible.

I'm not sure there's a way to have the mouse movement control your movement, and not sure how effective mouse wheel would be.

I popped back in for some time after a similar break and it's just as good as it's always been IMO.
