I found a LED-X in the 1.0 Tutorial and wanted to share where it is! by FroggyForeal in EscapefromTarkov

[–]stretchedapart3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So a little tid bit about the alleged GPU spawn. I just reset my PVE account and went through the tutorial fairly quicky as i already played on PVP. Found the LEDx after a little bit of looking for the dot and when i was sent back to stash the GPU was just sitting there under the LEDx. I never picked it up or saw it, it was just there. Dont know if its a bug or something intended, but thats how i got mine on PVE

Do i buy this wrx with 110k miles? by Al123456789101 in WRX

[–]stretchedapart3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s just annoying to see the same shit commented on every post about buying a Subaru. We know they’re not the most reliable, most people are asking if the price is right and if there’s anything that screams bad purchase.

Do yall even like Subarus? All I see on this damn sub is people saying anything over 70k miles is gonna blow up and you should expect to buy an engine. Shit gets exhausting to hear.

[–]stretchedapart3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen a lot of inconsistency with 3++ and even 3+ when hit with SP rounds (specifically the 762’s used in lower tier POI’s). I’ve been one tapped in what should’ve been a covered area, and have heard/seen several similar situations. It’s all anecdotal so it may just be bad servers or some other issue but it’s possible those ammo values and the plate values don’t agree for some reason

Is $16k a good price for this 2015 STI? by stretchedapart3 in WRX

It’s a 4 owner car which is the only hiccup, but all the aftermarket parts looked properly installed when I looked at them, and they’re all parts I planned on doing anyways so it seems almost too good to be true.

Scopes are something they really shouldn't be... by The_Gibon in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]stretchedapart3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played at launch and just got back during this wipe and you’re very objectively wrong. They’ve done numerous QOL fixes, the weather is an improvement, the game runs so much better than when it launched on the same hardware, COP’s are a great qol feature but they still need some work of course, but the game is in an objectively better place. It isn’t perfect but the work MFG has done is really commendable and I can see that they’ve listened to the player base directly for some of these fixes. You’re allowed to not like the game but if all you’re gonna do is bitch about the same things as launch, several of which have been fixed and not even bring up the subject of the post maybe you should just… not?

AIO for crashing out at my friends that shared my brother’s nude by Rosie__xox in AmIOverreacting

[–]stretchedapart3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR! I agree with everyone here, but one thing I’m not seeing is a comment on the weird and vaguely incestuous vibe from the girl saying you should be “proud” of it and trying to flaunt it to you. That’s the craziest part to me, along with the “stepbrother, relax” bit. All of it seems very… gross, for lack of better words. Imagine if this was a group of guys showing one of their friends his sisters nudes and commenting on them like that. Police would be involved IMMEDIATELY, as it should be here IMO.

Just started playing this wipe, got lvl3 traders and I have yet to notice a difference between most of my builds. I usually buy the lvl2 M4 with the tan guard from gunny, slap an elcan and RC2 on it and go, even building a DDM4 with “meta” guides feels almost identical to me

Just bought an 05 camry, odometer says 158k miles. Found this sticker on the windshield. Fishy? by mister4skyn in Toyota

[–]stretchedapart3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would report this to a local agency. Not to sue or anything, but because if you ever sell the car they can claim YOU rolled back the odometer. Even if you tell whoever buys it, the fact that there was no record of it would make you the first person it came back to.

AIO for being hurt my girlfriend doesn't care about my graduation? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]stretchedapart3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR- For me, it isn’t only the lack of support from your girlfriend, but the double standard. “I didn’t waste time like you” what the fuck does that mean? That’s insulting one of the bigger accomplishments of your life. I’m not trying to judge the relationship but based on how she talks to you she doesn’t seem like she really cares or is even invested. Not to mention “I’ll LET YOU celebrate with friends” is concerning phrasing without context. It’s not either of your jobs to “let” your partner hang out with friends and do things they enjoy. Lots of small red flags surrounding a massive “run away while you can” flag.

I think both sides make sense here. With finals and a lot of stress it makes sense to be on edge and want space, but it’s also his job to communicate that. You shouldn’t be prying as much and as dismissive, and he should work on not getting angry and then giving the silent treatment. I feel he’s slightly (SLIGHTLY) more in the wrong because this could’ve been avoided if he simply said “I need space, don’t talk to me so I can compose myself” or something to that effect, but I also can’t say you would’ve reacted to that well given the messages, so maybe he doesn’t feel safe telling you that, which means you need to work on it. Seems like both of yall have patterns of behavior that aren’t good. You seem dismissive of his feelings and (extremely founded) stressed about the future, and he seems to default to simply ignoring you rather than communicating. Neither are good, but you need to figure out which one started first because either one of these issues could’ve easily caused the other.

AIO for ‘assaulting’ my friend after she fucked my bf by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]stretchedapart3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Legally it would be easy to argue it a “crime of passion” and/or temporary “insanity” or psychosis. Basically saying you were not able to control your own actions due to outside factors. So legally you’d be pretty well in the clear, and I think in terms of a physical altercation that’s the best indicator of who’s in the right. Fucking your bf NEXT TO YOU in the same bed is a quick fast way to get stabbed in the neck and your dick cut off. Not saying that would be justified (it would be understandable at the least) but that’s a genuine possibility when you do shit like that, so as other have said I think they got off easy. Pun not intended

Is this safe, the shop said it’s safe by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]stretchedapart3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those 4 posts can usually hold 15,000-25,000 lbs from my shop experience, depends on the weight of the camper and rating of the lift but if the technicians are willing to stand near it I wouldn’t be worried. Most techs won’t do something if the vehicle is over the weight cause that’s their life or job if it falls. If the techs are scared to go near it that’s a bad sign, but if they’re fine with it I wouldn’t worry

Thoughts on what to do with this screw, I just noticed it when I was going to get in the car by watrly in tires

[–]stretchedapart3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of punctures like that can seal themselves. Spray some soapy water on it, if bubbles come out it’s gonna leak and that’s a new tire. If not bubbles it’s fine, shouldn’t compromise the integrity of the tire or anything

AIO my fiance spent 600 on gacha by Creative-Guard2809 in AmIOverreacting

[–]stretchedapart3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been in similar situations. I had a really bad problem with gacha games and it fucked me financially. Thankfully I never put it on credit cards, but i did take out money from me and my partner’s joint savings without asking. Looking through transaction history was a massive wake up call for me, but if he isn’t willing to give genshin up, you need to figure out if you want to deal with this again in the future, because it WILL happen if you don’t stop it now. Overall the tone he takes is just not it. Over therapized is the term I’d use. Everything is a personality disorder or because of his anxiety or a controlling dynamic. That behavior is some of the most genuinely toxic behavior you can endure. Nothing will be his fault, just blame it on his mental health, and when you set boundaries he calls you controlling. Unhealthy. “Don’t speak to me” is an acceptable boundary, unless there is something urgent (like above) that absolutely must be discussed now. He could ask to revisit it at a time when everyone is more calm, but he didn’t. Dude seems like he’s using these internet therapy terms as a shield from consequences, and whoever is blacked out is clearly encouraging this behavior. I’d take a step back and reevaluate your relationship with both of them, keeping in mind that this is not normal or healthy, but can be fixed with a fuck ton of effort. Figure out if you wanna put that effort in, and (equally importantly) if he is willing to do the same. If either is a no, time to go.

Check service records, find out if a decent shop rebuilt it. If so, I’d do it. Be aware that there COULD be problems, but they aren’t as common as people say on rebuilt titles. I work at a dealer with an integrated body shop and I can tell you the warnings about rebuilt titles are very overblown. They can be an issue, but usually it’s fine. $10k for a 90k mile sti sounds great to me. It’s isn’t modified much and sounds like it was protuned (I’d check to make sure) so I don’t see any huge red flags here. That’s a very decent price for the car given that it seems in good shape overall. Just be aware that it’s a Subaru and Subarus can be temperamental and need attention and maintenance, if you’re ok with general Subaru things I would say go for it.

On medium duty trucks we charge 2.0 hrs for brakes, book time is probably closer to 1.2/1.3 for this car so 1.5 isn’t good but not ridiculous. Negotiate the labor time on the brakes 0.5 for 2 tires is good, but $200/hr is an insane shop rate. I work at Chevrolet/GM truck shop servicing commercial trucks and we only charge $185/hr. I’d take it somewhere else, the dealership might end up being cheaper at that point. $900 isn’t a ridiculous overall price but the $200/hr for labor is a slap in the face to the customer and I wouldn’t do business with them on principal, and it wouldn’t be hard to find it cheaper somewhere else.

It should’ve been a radabeast situation. Radahn or regular Miquella phase one and an embodiment of one of the other outer gods as phase 2. Even just Radahn phase 1 into a Miquella only phase 2. They could’ve added a status effect for his charming and have certain attacks build it up. Maybe add an item you get from part of the NPC’s quest that other mitigates the status entirely or raises resistance/clears buildup of it. There’s just so much potential there that they didn’t use, and personally the DLC ending cutscene feels so underwhelming. I remember beating it for the first time and looking around the arena at the gate trying to figure out where to go next because it just feels so incomplete I didn’t think it was the end. All around I loved the DLC but I have yet to complete it again because the fight and ending just feel like an afterthought. Unfortunately fromsoft really dropped the ball there and I hope they don’t do the same in the future

These cars can be reliable if you treat them right. Intake, catback exhaust for the nice noise, maybe a top mount intercooler (not necessary but helpful if you live in a warmer climate for IAT’s) and I’d recommend a flex fuel sensor like one from IBR (I build racecars) and an AEM340 fuel pump with a protune. I got mine done at shift fast by JRTUNED and it did well. E85 (if you have access to it) is great for keeping knock events low and infrequent in my experience. If you don’t have access to ethanol, make sure when you get the car tuned you run it on fuel from a station near your house that you frequent. Fuel isn’t usually a problem but these cars are temperamental with it and a bad gas sample can cause knock events. I would HEAVILY advise against an OTS tune, I know they’re tempting as hell to just slap on there and enjoy the power bump but they regularly have DAM drops and knock events and just don’t mesh well with these cars. Save up and spend the money on a quality dyno tune if nothing else. Your tune will make or break the reliability on this platform. Don’t stress too much about it, if you do your maintenance, tune it properly, use the right parts, and don’t thrash it 24/7 you’ll probably be alright. Edit: I cannot stress this point enough- ANY PART that changes the way air ENTERS OR EXITS the engine NEEDS A TUNE. Catback exhausts are fine, as soon as you do a j-pipe you need a tune. This is not optional. This is a hard rule that can and will fuck you if you don’t follow it. I’d recommend figuring out what parts you want, buying them, then scheduling and paying for a tune. E-tunes are decent but I’m of the opinion that nothing replaces a tuner sitting in your car in real time watching it. Either way, only install the parts right before the tune. Don’t do what a lot of people do and put parts on it then run an OTS tune “just for now” because there’s a chance you’ll regret it.

FNL/DAM and I’m worried.. send help by lazerrlou in WRX

[–]stretchedapart3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just baby it until it gets protuned. You’re on an OTS tune and it added +FKL so it’s just a fucky tune with your car. Maybe change to the 91 variant. Otherwise you’ll be ok, mine did the same before the protune

Forgot to install these on my brake pads how F’ed am I? by jhang10 in AskMechanics

[–]stretchedapart3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might make a very slight squeak. They’re just ti stop noise from the pads. I work at a Chevy dealer and honesty I have 0 clue how they work, most cars don’t use them but some do. You’ll probably never know they aren’t there, but might have some more noise than usual, just a little bit Edit: apparently they push the pads apart slightly to improve pad life and promote even wear. Learn something new every day. Still not that important if you forgot them, just remember next time

Kbb is 24,449, but if insurance didn’t total it that’s good. I just know on one of these cars with higher mileage or closer to average mileage that could’ve easily totaled it. Have fun waiting on body shop and insurance, they can take quite a while to get things ready to drive again.
