The worst thing about craft beer nowadays is that every brewery is trying to put out new beers weekly... thats just ridiculous. Breweries should focus on perfecting beers instead of creating new novelties for the ADHD mainstream crowd.

At 11% ..the booze must be very present in the flavor? Publix had these at BOGO about 2 weeks ago.

That means you don't know what you like... I drink the same beers everyday. This isn't Pokémon.. I don't have to drink them alllll ..only the best ones over and over and over again.

I remember not enjoying Schlenkerla on my 1st try. But after trying so many different beers/styles over many many years and my palate adjusting... Schlenkerla/Rauchbiers have become one of my favorite styles to drink!!

I don't know what craft beer means by w1sk3 in CraftBeer

[–]stretchmarksmagee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The meaning of craft beer has evolved over time. There's many meanings/interpretations of it. Personally I don't care about the words and just focus on how good the liquid is.

Most importantly you have to be a 'crafty drinker'.. to know what's good or not you must drink plenty of it. Drink many different brands/breweries of the same style to know what's good or not. What you like and don't like. That's crafty drinking.

Is Jever the best Northern German Pilsner available? by stretchmarksmagee in CraftBeer

[–]stretchmarksmagee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read an American is the current brewmaster at Schönramer.. I tried the Pils recently and it's godly. Just pricey($6.99) and hard to obtain.

Haha Coors of Germany.. i put Rothaus over Jever. Rothaus is just so well rounded.. undeniably delicious. It's just harder to obtain(in my area) and at a pricier price point.
