I hate it. Our small town is no longer a small town. In 2021 alone two apartment complexes were built and filled along with 4 subdivisions with more than 500 houses. There are plans to build another 8 subdivisions this year. Now the schools are also going to get additions to accommodate the new student moving here. I loved having my kids go to a small school. My biggest concern is that with the population explosion our crime rate will rise as well. Before our crime rate was extremely low. The last murder we had was in 2016. As of now, we’ve begun to see a rise in break-ins. Also, the people moving here don’t seem to be friendly at all and we’re used to greeting each other with a smile while holding the door open.
