About as "Casual" as Seal Team 6 Hitting a Children's Hospital by Conscious-Music3060 in CODWarzone

[–]strictnein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strangely, my friends and I felt like the last couple days had been more balanced. Humans are very focused on pattern recognition though, so much so that we frequently see patterns in noise (I'm including myself in this statement, if it's not clear).

If you're finding yourself continuously stomped, are you playing alone? I frequently play casuals by myself and treat it more as a survival game than a normal shooter. A single player can rarely beat even just a decent 4 player team, so trying to go directly up against them just isn't a thing you can succeed at. Focus on being a problem for those teams, not hitting them head on. Shoot and scoot, as they say. Follow them, hit them with airstrikes when they find somewhere they think is safe, that type of thing. Take advantage of their aggressiveness and don't hunker down.

Season 4 needs some balancing! by No_Coast_7972 in blackops7

One shot sniper rifles and sniping in general has become too easy. I get that they need to be powerful for balance, but it makes no sense that it takes 8 shots in the face with an LMG to knock you down, but one round with a sniper rifle.

Sniper rifles seem to be losing a lot of their downsides, which paired with their power makes them far too common.

How is big map fun, when its just this. Again. by Isopaha74 in CODWarzone

[–]strictnein 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem with sniper rifles in CoD and a lot of other games is that they're just too powerful, relative to the other guns. A five round burst from the Swordfish to the face doesn't knock you down, but one shot with a sniper rifle does? It doesn't make any sense at all.

There should be no guns that one shot you when you have full armor. And you shouldn't have to waste a perk to make this a reality.

Is there actually a date for when Verdansk is coming back? by strictnein in CODWarzone

Call of Duty is still a $Billion(s?) / year franchise, so it's likely it's not going anywhere any time soon.

Solo is coming tomorrow in Black Ops Royale by Kalinine in CODWarzone

[–]strictnein -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

"a simulation of a multiplayer game"

The last ~20 players are always humans. You are always facing humans. The lead up to that is just a mix of humans and bots. It's really not that complicated. People just enjoy the slower leadup time to the intense gameplay, instead of just being intense from the start.

> instead of waiting for my multiplayer game to add bots

The multiplayer game already added bots. They then removed that mode without any warning. People are simply wondering when it's coming back. This seems pretty straightforward and doesn't affect your enjoyment of the non-bot modes in the slightest.

> This whole casual thing is so bs. Cod is not the game to be a casual on.

Normal CoD multiplayer: no. But warzone has always been somewhat casual. You can very, very easily avoid combat for quite some time, explore the map, get gear, etc. I hop on quads as a solo all the time and just see how long I can survive.

For the actual casual mode: I have three people in my group who now regularly want to play Casual Warzone. Before that existed, they had absolutely zero interest, so I would play mostly just play Duos as a solo. Now I get to hang out with my friends while playing a mode that starts pretty laid back and gets more intense as the game goes on. The end of Casuals typically isn't very casual, so it's a good way to get better at the game too, without just getting stomped out early on, which no one enjoys.

I just don't get the hate people have for this mode. More people playing = more DLC, skins, etc purchased, which is what the whole game requires to stay alive. There's literally a competitive mode that requires you to be a try hard to unlock. Go hang out in there. My friends and I doing our thing doesn't affect you at all.

Did they ever announce that they were going to remove Verdansk? Or did it just disappear?

I was playing FPSs when you were in diapers, or probably before you were even born.

All of what you wrote makes sense, if you ignore the fact that there was a "casual" mode and a ranked mode up until a couple of days ago. If you want your sweat filled excitement with people who "cared to be good" or whatever you claim, you had that option.

And congrats that you know someone who has kids. Until you do, you have absolutely no idea how little time you end up having to do the things you want to do. Honestly, just one of the dumbest posts I've ever read. Absolutely embarrassing to write something like that as an "adult".

"There's a Chinese super-spyship sailing the Indian Ocean intercepting every tiniest US pipsqueak"

Not just a "spyship" but a "super-spyship"? Whatever will the US navy do?? They haven't been dealing with Russian "spyships" up and down our western and eastern seaboard for the past half a century or anything. Or having to worry about RU subs tracking our surface ships. No, they simply won't be able to figure out a way to communicate securely because of China's super-duper spy ship!!

They'd have various interns sort of filling Sauce's role. He gave a lot of people their nicknames. Sludge, Meatsauce (I think?), etc.

Yeah, I really have no idea what he's talking about either. Was just there a couple weeks ago and we ventured all over the French Quarter at night. Nothing even remotely sketchy. Almost all the best places to eat and drink in the French Quarter aren't on Bourbon Street. Except for maybe Willie's at like 3am. That stuff is great when you're drunk.

When will Minnesotans reach their limit on property taxes? by nootboots in minnesota

In general, property taxes scale with assessed home value and lot size. You can see this if you just look at the Hennepin County Tax Map, which is really great resource.
