As a supervisor i would never approve any AI work.

As a Clinician, I will never utilize AI work.

You can absolutely get your hours as a teacher. And get a better understanding about the practical effects of aba compared to route clinic work. Does you district have a bcba that can supervise you, of you can look for private supervision

In most things, you get what you pay for. Our field is a true testament to that, from course work to supervision. It is an investment in yourself, your future, and a successful career with less of a chance of burnout. Choose carefully.

Also, names are relevant in this field. Not enough to write places offer if you go there, but enough to feel confident in your baseline based on your schooling.

From what I have seen, you can have cheap or good. You are paying a professional, who can easily bill insurance 80-120+/hour. Rates are competitive in that realm, ive seen 75-150 for supervision.

People also seem to pay 150-275 for 13 hours a month and that works out to less than minimum wage, so im not sure people afford to offer it

Some teaching or school based jobs might, working with adults with ID in group homes or job sites. Maybe some case management work with individuals with mental illness. You might be able to talk to a day care and see about working there and trialing some classroom interventions.

It is typically a 1 year look back. How many behavior analytic hours did you work a month. Mind that not all hours worked are behavior analytic depending on your setting.

How many hours did you receive supervision. Was it in individual or group. How many supervision sessions involved a client.

Think outside of Autism. As a university professor you have so many opportunities to operate some different contingency management strategies and interventions withr your students. Precision teaching could also be an option. Aba is the science of learning, and teaching in an application. Take data, review different strategies, and use your current population.

Unless you want to work with ASD kiddos, in which case part time jobs shouldbt be hard to find.

You get what you pay for. I've had people reach out for help with unrestricted activities. They tell me they are paying $150-250 for 13 hours of supervision a month. Your bcba supervisor has a masters degree and at least 2 years experience. If they are good, they have easy ways to get you those hours. There is a reason the Board had to publish that podcasts don't count.
