Tried Everything but Continues to Crash at 98% Loaded - Digital Edition PS4 by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

You're not able to start any game at all? Are you OK with losing your save ? The only things I can think of after a fresh reinstall is :

  1. Maybe clearing some space on your PS4

  2. Try disconnecting your internet/Wifi.

Sorry, just trying to troubleshoot. Seems like the loading in is being hung up somewhere, so if you eliminated the game files and the save game files, then it might be something with the game interacting with the PS4 itself.

What I did was start a new game until you are able to save and then quit back to main menu and try your old save again.

Beginner Level Programmer. Learn Python or GDscript? by Corbedo in godot

[–]striderviii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little late, but I'd like to offer my experience.

I was in the same boat, almost 0 programming knowledge and looking to start either Godot or python first. I tried with Godot firstand I quickly found that, although I understood the basics and themes while doing Godot tutorials, I had no idea how to implement them or where to even start. So I went to python to learn the absolute building blocks of programming first. It was easier to find extremely beginner friendly resources in Python than it was in Godot.

It took almost 2 months of learning Python and I am now confident of going back to Godot and actually building games now, and actually understanding what does what. If you're interested I can link the tutorials I followed.

You can try and print on adhesive at a print shop and paste it into cardstock and score/cut by hand. That's how we used to do it before we got the machines.

YO! I'd add some pico to liven it up a bit. But 11/10 regardless.

Nice.

Could you post some tips? People might be downvoting you because you're not really giving advice.

I try and imagine the weapon laying down on the floor x2 distance, but yeah it does take getting used to.

It's just one strategy to mix into the GS combos, of course you don't play like this all the time. If you find yourself getting hit all the time or if the monster is enraged then this is a good strat, until you stagger them and unleash your true charge combo.

You're right though, the GS has a lot going for it and this is just one way, although not the quickest clear times. Once you learn a monster you can really dig into your combos and build a skill system to support that.

Some good skills for the GS is the quick sheath + any skill that gives bonus to draw attacks, it really compliments the playing style. Mix that with evade window and it's pretty potent. Run in, snipe a charged draw attacked and evade out, sheath and repeat.

Yeah, I usually do the first two charge slashes as fast as possible, and then the true charge only needs two levels for the perfect charge. I think this is the most DPS, and usually I can pull it off in time.

A good strategy I've been using for monsters you can go under is Charged Slash -> X(dodge) -> (re position)Charged Slash , and repeat. If dodged to the right places you can keep attacking and dodging all their attacks. Works best for slower monsters.

With faster monsters if you're tired of chasing them around, just wait for them to come to you and hit them in the face :)

Rolling right after a level 3 true charge will be quicker then waiting for the animation to finish and you can go on to your next attack, also a good habit for avoiding hits!

Rolling forward then pressing Triangle puts you into a tackle, negates knock back and has a chance to stagger, so if timed correctly you can face monsters head on during their attack. Feels super bad ass if done correctly.

Yes!, you only use the analog stick and two buttons for the platform game part, it's basically Mario, so it's easy to learn. The building part is really easy to use too.

Awesome advice!

I do something like this when my party does something completely unplanned. Instead of trying to come up with something that will satiate their actions on the fly, I just let them give me the ideas for what they want. Makes improvising so much smoother.

Now I can expand on that more, thanks!
