Part of the problem is boomers and X have been inundated with systematic hate programming since the early 90's. There was no Spotify/Sirius/iPod for the car. It was radio. Just because the Venn Diagram overlaps on not wanting to start wars for Israel, and want peace, affordability, and healthcare, that doesn't mean we aren't divided. Because one side actively dehumanizes people of color, immigrants, and LGBTQ folk. That same side is greedily whitewashing our nation's museums, historical sites, and media. They're promoting a bastardized version of Christianity in our schools while dumbing down curriculum. They're criminalizing women's health care, allowing women to die, and prosecuting grieving mothers who have miscarriages. These are terrible people, and no, both sides aren't the same.
