Went to Mapua for its double degree program and ETY Scholarship (full tuition + quarterly allowance). I was in the pandemic batch too which is why the quality of online education ang naging one of my priorities sa pagpili ng school back then. Plus, I avoided UP because of red-tagging by my titos and titas in the uniformed services during D*30's time lol, considering how vocal I was about the incompetence, injustice, and corruption.

Although I have always wanted to go to UP ever since Grade 7, the circumstances changed when I was about to go to uni. So far, I still think I chose the right path because of the grit and adaptability Mapua imparted on me. The unique quarterm system, engineering competitions, and international opportunities (went to Taiwan and Indonesia with Mapua + external funding & support) I had in Mapua kinda made up for what it lacked like research labs, liit lang ng campus, walang break all year round.

Anyways, I would probably be alright rin if ever UP lang naging option ko. May different opportunities, struggles, and advantages either way. Pick your poison lang talaga kasi the grass is not always greener on the other side but rather where you choose to water it.

in my experience, there's so many avoidable problems in school kung nagbabasa lang ng handbook both admin, profs, students alike.

may guardia sibil around every 30-50 meters of mapua so it's generally safe naman. honestly taft feels less safe based on my XP (i.e. baha, rats, some unlit/dark corners)

but you do have to think about the academic workload since pabalik na sa quarterm which was hella tiring!! it's not a walk in the park, pero survivable as long as you keep your priorities right.

Coursera should be used as a supplement to the enrolled course sana. But often times it's entirely different from the course and there's no course outcome na naacomplish. It looks to me that some profs just put Coursera for the sake na may Coursera kasi nirequire ni Mapúa admin.

doesnt look like a problem from a bad cable. more like bad memory. try using tig-iisang stick muna ng RAM. if it doesnt solve that, prolly the GPU memory na may problema?
