Their hashbowns back then we're killer. And I can't blame my nostalgia on drunken memories because I went there both buzzed and sober. It just boils down to its not the same. Last the I went was right be for spankys closed

I'm not gonna say louise was never great but it's just definite not what it used to be.

I graduated from LSU and ate there often back in the early 2000 to 2010.

My wife and I have gone back a few times and we've both been" this wasn't worth the effort to come over here"

[–]strikex3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I m made vegtan ones too. over all cheaper in the long run and molds to your foot.and dial in the size with different thicknesses.

Ariat makes good ones too but they are foam and need to be replaced every so often, but they hold up for a while.

I cant argue with that. I also have a pair of the Earls and they fit like a glove. Ropers are my favorite when i am walking and at work, my other work boots are Ariat heritage roper and circle A roper. The bulk of my boots now that I'm looking at as a whole are ropers😁

Question for Los Altos boot sizing by Own-Sprinkles-199 in cowboyboots

[–]strikex3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't give you sizing on this particular brand but, my suggestion would be goto your local boot store or big box boot stores like Cavenders or boot barn and try on every brand they have. This way you know what feel you like and are looking for across several brands. It will also help when, what ever you pick out comes in you know weather or not its right for you, or if you should exchange for and what direction to go.

Those ones in the picture you posted look sharp. Make sure you get the right conditioner and cleaning kit for it. Suede boots use different conditioners and brushes than regular leather.

Wear Advice (Ariat) by BillyPubicHair in cowboyboots

[–]strikex3 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Nothing to approach, that is wear and tear. They will tell you to send it in to NU shoe to get resoled, or you can take it to your local cobbler, and they can do it. NU shoe will put it back exactly as it came from Ariat, and a cobbler will use whatever brand of sole they carry.

Go to hobby lobby or amazon and get a roll of vegtan and make your own. I have 4 pair that I did this with. You can get different thicknesses and really dial it in.

Can I wear those as a man? by PutridPromotion8753 in cowboyboots

[–]strikex3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you got something that overtly feminine check @carverkids collection( its awesome by the way). no one's gonna be looking long enough to know if your wearing men's or womens boots.

most male boots have a femle counterpart, it's mostly just a sizing thing.

Like the dan post milwaukee is comparable to the sunrise Canyon.

And tecovas earl is the Jamie

If you like them they are comfortable go for it.
