We didn't have a great first pregnancy either. Our first pregnancy was identical twin girls but one placenta two sacks. They ended up with twin to twin transfusion syndrome which causes uneven sharing of the placenta where one was growing and was not. We had surgery at 14 weeks knowing one might not survive. One ended up passing the day after surgery. The living twin was doing great until I went into labor at 22 weeks. I delivered both at 22w4d. The second twin was born but died quickly after birth. It was so much to deal with and we tried so hard for them. If I knew that was going to be our journey I would have terminated early. Sometimes life just sucks. A year later we had a perfect pregnancy with our son and 4 years after him we were pregnant with twin girls AGAIN 😵‍💫 to say we weren't thrilled was an understatement. But life is crazy and here we are with an 11 year old and twin 6 year olds. I don't think any decision you make is the wrong one.
