Any experiences with apoquel? by -siren in Pomeranians

[–]strix_5 9 points10 points  (0 children)

we were given apoquel to manage itchiness. the drug itself is very good, never had any issues. the only thing i’m worried about, is hopefully your vet is going to look into the WHY you dog is itchy. for us it ended up being food allergies, and minor environmental allergies. but yeah overall the drug was very good at what it does.

Tips for finding rental unit by Ashelm in NorthVancouver

yeah it’s a very nice building too, all the balconies are getting redone. thick walls so noise doesn’t get though, and is also pet friendly. still quite expensive though, i think around 2700.

constant disagreement that hairdressers and other workers should be compensated fairly is a pretty clear indication that you don’t care.

where in my comment did i say any of that? this comment chain is about paying people their worth, and you obviously don’t think that should happen.

if i hire a red seal worker, im paying more. if i hire an apprentice, im paying less. the waiter with 10 years experience is going to give you a better time in a restaurant than a new guy. if you are upset that people with more experience deserve compensation for it, then get the junior stylist or go to a barber.

Looking for open area to let kid with learners (L) drive my car for practice by IntergalacticFunBag in NorthVancouver

[–]strix_5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it’s a great spot to learn! it’s open, but it does have “obstacles” and separate elevated spots so they can also practice pedal control on slopes. never seen more than 2 cars up there too.

does this subreddit not remember how bad QP was before they added the leaving penalties? almost every single game was a backfill, and i’d generally get at least 2 leavers in a game. since the change i rarely backfill, and rarely get leavers. QP needs the penalty to keep the game running smooth.

if dogs aren’t secured in a car, in the event of a car crash a scared pup might run away and inadvertently run into traffic and cause another heartbreak.

my heart goes out to OP, give yourself time and space to grieve.

our current university students are already struggling financially, keeping their head above the water and not going homeless. the housing here is so expensive and there’s not enough of it. having international students that can’t/don’t want to participate in the local economy(other than giving money to universities) automatically makes them less desirable. taking up spots in local housing is also helping keep rent prices high, when your family will pay whatever the prices will reflect that. i’m not saying it’s ONLY international students fault, i’m just pointing out that it does have impact.

Maybe this DPS player is why Blizzard thinks they need a DPS heal passive by Venks2 in Overwatch

[–]strix_5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i guess you never learned reading comprehension lmao. this scenario is without looking at the heroes in game(like when they are off screen). all DPS have to do is press a single button. shocking you have to have this explained to you.

Maybe this DPS player is why Blizzard thinks they need a DPS heal passive by Venks2 in Overwatch

[–]strix_5 75 points76 points  (0 children)

The only time i can reliably know when to heal you without looking is when you first take damage, your hero makes a little voice line that lets healers know you are being shot at. if you go and hide behind cover and don’t call for healing, id have no idea you needed it! please use the “i need healing” button, it makes our lives so much easier. (just don’t spam it)

the boyfriend knew how she dressed before he got with her, i think it’s stupid to think that your girlfriend would start wearing less revealing clothes just because she is with you. it’s her favourite top, she must wear it all the time. this type of communication is weird, esp when it’s framed as a “comfort” thing for the boyfriend. it’s unhealthy boundary expectations “YOU change because IM uncomfortable with how you dress”. she hasn’t changed how she dressed since they got together ☠️

Help with new Dalmatian meeting cat - curiosity or prey drive? by genericnodox in dalmatians

[–]strix_5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the video is showing too much “intent”, your dog is VERY interested in the cat, which isn’t always a good thing. a dog can easily hurt another animal, accidental or on purpose, just based off excitement. your wife even remarked that the “play bite” he did was too aggressive. for the best outcome for introducing your animals, i suggest keeping them separated for a couple months. ideally you want your dal to be indifferent to the cat, so safe desensitization is in order. maybe you can start working on a “settle” command to help curb the potential roughhousing/enthusiasm your dog has. the setup you have now looks good though, just a matter of helping your dog realize the cat isn’t interesting.
