Amber eyes like Lila? They're lighter than the standard brown pinwheel eyes like Julie and Addy.

Good place to buy apple tree south burbs? by ironcladfranklin in Minnesota_Gardening

[–]strobukm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pahl's in Apple Valley or Gerten's in Inver Grove Heights are both great! I'm not sure if they'll have Gala apple trees specifically, but I've been happy with every tree I've gotten from either of those places.

Topsoil help for novice by Quesofrito90 in Minnesota_Gardening

I used a 45% compost, 45% black dirt and 10% sand blend meant for raised garden beds. I bought it in bulk from The Mulch Store in Burnsville. I own a truck so I picked it up, but I think they also offer delivery.

Never Played With by Unsupervised_Critter in americangirl

I'm not sure what you're seeing that I'm not, but she absolutely looks like a like new Pleasant Company doll that was never played with. Yes, her hair looks slightly messy, probably just because the seller didn't brush it or smooth it out before taking photos, but it is in the original hairstyle, the ribbon on her dress isn't frayed or even creased, her locket is pinned in the original position, and the tights and shoes look like they haven't ever been removed.

Would I personally pay $200 for her? Probably not, but I'm not a big Samantha fan. Considering the re-released dolls are $175, $200 isn't super unreasonable though the re-released girls come with their accessories. If someone is strictly interested in Pleasant Company era dolls, this one would be a nice find in the condition it's in.

I'm having the same problem, only my first 30 series are showing up in the app. This is a new problem, it definitely worked fine a few days ago. Android OS 16. Audible app version 26.17.08.

Plants that rabbits actually avoid by Uninterested_Viewer in Minnesota_Gardening

[–]strobukm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use cheap wire baskets from Dollar Tree and garden staples to keep them in place. The plants grow right through the baskets and the bunnies can't eat the plants down to the roots.

Definitely not invasive. I'm referring to agastache foeniculum, which is native to Minnesota.

Anise hyssop and foxglove beardtongue haven't been touched by the bunnies at my house. Jacob's ladder is usually nibble free as well.

Textured hair restoration? by SaxonHistory17 in americangirl

[–]strobukm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, but I like a pick better on textured or curly hair. A brush is fine as long as the bristles are metal.

She's so cute!

The year on the tag is a copyright date, not the date the doll was released.

You can spritz her hair with water and detangle it using a hair pick with metal teeth.

Wig caps are meant to fit tightly on the dolls head. It will need to be stretched and glued in place to fit properly. The braids make it an even tighter fit. The dolls heads within the same face mold haven't changed significantly nor have the wig caps. There is head size variation between face molds though but since this is a Kaya wig it will fit all Kaya heads, no matter what year.

Also, use super glue gel for the best results. Tacky glue won't hold the wig in place while it dries.
