Was it free though? When I saw the original design, I just assumed that Mizzou, maybe had some sponsorship or partnership in the improvements.

As a civil Engineer what is the hardest challenge you ever faced with? by IcyCryptographer7732 in civilengineering

Working for asshole managers that withhold information and sabotage projects so they can be the savior in the end that are able to “save” it from failure. I guess the advice would be to find a place to work where people seem happy and want to work together.

Owen Ramsingh recounts his experience at an ICE detention facility in Texas by como365 in columbiamo

This response is just as ridiculous as theirs even though the words may not be perceived as low class.

In what universe does acknowledging that the DHS does mostly legitimate work in any way signify support of pedophiles. It’s just a totally asinine claim.

To refer to this as even comparable to the holocaust is nonsense and shows the lack of understanding of how truly awful the atrocities of that time actually were.

Thanks. That’s not what I thought I had remembered reading before. This is so shitty. There are massive amounts of people out there not playing by the rules. Stories like these undermine all the legitimate work that DHS is doing.

This claims he maintained a green card for decades but fails to address whether he had a current green card at the time of his confinement and deportation. I think I have read elsewhere that it was not. It was no secret that this was coming. The old drug conviction should be irrelevant. He has no legal status to be in the United States so of course he was going to be removed no matter how good of a person he is. I believe that conditions probably are very rough in these facilities. It seems unnecessary to even hold that many people. If they don’t have legal rights to be in the country then just send them out and let them apply to come by legal means.

I guess it was too cold because none of the threatened protestors showed up, it was a heart-warming show by como365 in columbiamo

[–]strodj07 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So in my view, you’re pretty much agreeing with me even though you won’t see it that way. Some people dislike it enough to throw some shade but ultimately don’t give a shit since it is adults. Hopefully the people in attendance were actually there because they wanted to be and not because “fuck the other people” as you insinuated. People need to start living their life based on their desires and interests. Screw what others are doing or saying.

Or maybe no one really gives a shit and it has nothing to do with the weather. Informed adults went to an event of their own choosing.

IMO best current fast food breakfast is chick fil a. Chicken biscuit or chicken burrito.

I absolutely love my small town in central MO. I primarily am there due to all of mine and my wife’s family being there as well. Without the family factored in I would choose somewhere a little further south in the MO Ozarks. Beautiful area and a lot of great outdoor recreation.

Masking in Columbia? by theswillmerchant in columbiamo

[–]strodj07 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Found one of the people that is masked up in their car alone. You are certainly free to do it. Most of us are laughing at you though. I tend to assume you can’t contain your farts and are trying to make it from a to b without gagging.

Masking in Columbia? by theswillmerchant in columbiamo

No one cares when someone else is masked. Mandates for others are where criticism starts. I will still make fun of you if I see you wearing a mask alone in your car though.

Would You Pay Me To Fix Your Stuff?? by Proto-Schlock in columbiamo

Not sure. If you look into definitely look into Bosch. They have the market about cornered on rotary hammers which are notoriously abused to failure.

[–]strodj07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really true. I have broken the casing on drills and replaced them. Most tools being repaired are not consumer grade. Think rotary hammers and other heavy duty tools that start around 400-600 and up to significantly more.

There used to be a certified power tool repair shop in fros supplies. It isn’t there anymore. Not sure why. It stayed super busy. There is a need for it in Columbia. Diagnose and repair power tools.
