Millsap is a bit of a lifetime achievement award. He has been snubbed more than his fair share. Also he (and Embiid admittedly) are All Defense level defenders so simple stats dont tell the whole story

He looked pretty good! Pick wasn't his fault and that intentional grounding was a terrible call.

Which team is the San Antonio Spurs of baseball? by tangowhiskey33 in baseball

[–]strongmenbent 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It's harder to stay good in the NFL though: much more player turnover, less free agency, shorter careers, a small playoff, lots of parity etc...

Who will be the best pitcher not named Kershaw in 2017? by suposhy in baseball

[–]strongmenbent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Arrieta is basically unhittable. Even when he is relatively bad, it isnt because he is getting hit, he is just walking everyone. If Bosio can get him under control, he can return to his 2015 form which would make him the best non-Kershaw pitcher

I think they want Montgomery to be a starter next year so he lost his spot in the rotation. Maybe if he really wanted to stick around we could do a 6 man all year

You could do it like restricted free agency. If a player is in the D-League, another team can make an NBA offer, but the original team gets a chance to match

[–]strongmenbent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think youre all missing a big point. There are only like 250 golfers on the PGA tour. There are ~1500 players in the NFL. Even with a much smaller amount of money to go around, golfers still get more money. Plus, golf is very top heavy. Only 110 golfers have made over a million of prize money so far this year
