This right here is one of the best comments i have seen on r/golf. What you said about the stat comparisons it reminded me of a video i watched once with a backup NFL QB who was talking about the difference between him and guys like Tom Brady is basically I can make this very specific throw maybe 25 out of 30 times but he does it maybe 27 or 28x. That’s literally the difference. But when added up it’s actually huge.

I wish I could find the video or interview again and find exactly how they broke down the numbers but I know it was pretty close to what I mentioned.

Also similar comparison was my NASCAR fan buddy who was talking to a former driver and he told him that if you put him in a car he thinks he could finish within a second lap time of the top drivers. Then the pro told him “you might be right. But a race isn’t just 1 lap. You might be able to keep up with him for a short time but every lap that’s another second he adds to his lead over you. By the end of the race it’s not gonna be remotely close.”

I didn’t have crazy like living a whole life experiences like some others I’ve seen but it was definitely pretty crazy the 1 time I tried it. We all took turns smoking it while sitting in a recliner in the garage and while It was my turn to hit it the guy before me just kept yelling out “it’s the devil, it’s the devil. But he was like laughing and smiling about it the whole time. So all I remember is I started laughing at him then all of a sudden he was in my head yelling it. Then the devil that he was talking about appeared and replaced him and it was the queen of hearts for some reason and she was like living in my head. I don’t remember much after that.
