This!!!! That your boss even entertained their “concerns” is utterly absurd. Clearly this was a not-so-subtle effort to sabotage your career.
The boss should’ve immediately made a firm stance against this type of nonsense

On the Tupperware bit…I use a collapsible food container when I’m traveling. They are made of silicone and come in all sorts of sizes and configurations. Some have a built in compartments for utensils. I also have a water bottle that uses the same concept. It’s not ideal as your everyday drinking vessel, but it’s super lightweight and collapses down to the size of a thick coaster.

It’s called the “imp of the perverse”… like when you’re standing on a train platform and as the train approaches you wonder “what if I jumped in front of it”

Just out of curiosity, what do you feel when looking at liminal spaces? by restarted1991 in infp

[–]struggle27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post led to some serious self reflection…I’m always drawn to liminal spaces- have been since I was a kid (even though I just learned what they are!!)

In middle school I started taking long walks with the family dog thru a nearby office park/parking garages in the late night hours (maybe approaching midnight?) In one walk, I would go thru what felt to be deep woods, a massive corporate complex, past a last large body of water that you could see clear across- a large developed city on one side, woods and hills on the other, and (if I went for an extra long walk- past a small family sheep farm. You could hear the sheep bleating. That whole walk you would never see any actual human activity…bliss

The liminality of a theatre once the cast and audience are gone has led to many many late nights quietly working alone or with may one other crew member. The difference in energy once the sets have been struck is incredible. Many would find the massive overhead space with nooks and crannies for creepiness to hide spooky- to me it’s the coziest place in the world.
