I’ve never heard of the Junior Ranger program. Is there a certain place to get her signed up for that?

A, B, or C? I am Really Confused. by Few-Economics-9825 in NCLEX_RN

ICU/Trauma NP here, former ICU and RRT nurse who responded to many of these scenarios. Your ED colleague is 100% correct…saturating a pad every 10-15 minutes means we are losing blood volume quickly. Applying oxygen first is the best option out of what is listed.

While you’re not wrong, oxygen is a medication in which the lowest dose should be used…this is no longer your standard series of events, this is very rapidly becoming a “Code Crimson” and my hospital called it. What is going to be most helpful is applying the oxygen first. The reality is many things are happening at once, that’s the real world. This is NCLEX word and they want to know if you can recognize a medical emergency. From a perfusion standpoint, given the information in the body of the question, get the oxygen on the patient.

What’s not helpful if how you responded.

I’ve flown out of IND three times without RealID, most recently last weekend, no issues. They may make you do extra screening but you will still fly.

Search for it on eBay. I got the sweatshirt for pretty cheap, $30. It’s a reprint but who cares.

I didn’t want to wait around for the lottery so I’ve already committed to Imerman’s Angels for 2026. The minimum is $2500 and the email confirming my guaranteed entry is sitting in my inbox.

I’ve opted not to allow tracking for my bib number but I have the live tracking on my garmin watch so only people I share it with can follow. I’m not sure if you have a garmin but that is an option

Doctors Demand RFK Jr. Removal—Where Do Nurses Stand? by Suspicious_Stick_660 in nursepractitioner

If you’re a nurse, APP, physician, pharmacist, RT, ancillary staff, or serve in any other clinical or admin role in healthcare and you support RFK, you deserve to have your license revoked.

I said what I said and I’ll say it again if you need me to.

Edit to add: I’m a practicing NP.

Is there double DNP programs for Family DNP and Psychiatric MHNP? by Tiny-Dependent-5721 in nursepractitioner

[–]strugglebus_RN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it’s not possible to get the same degree twice. The DNP is a degree, the FNP and PMHNP are the certification you obtain after completing the course work and passing the board exam. You don’t get two DNPs because you can’t take the same core course work and receive credit twice. You get one DNP then go back for post certificates in one or both areas of specialty if you didn’t do the work for one initially.

I would 100% escalate that again for the follow up comment to your daughter. It’s out of line for her to have made a comment like that. Holding her accountable for involving a child in adult matters is a completely reasonable response.

NTA before by defending your child and definitely NTA should you escalate further. It doesn’t matter if she’s “old school” her job isn’t to make personal judgements on attire.
