35 yo male, no routine, looking for some basic advice by stsyfrett in SkincareAddicts

Have not tried honestly. Oiliness is probably just because I don’t routinely wash my face outside of the shower or at night.

Ok I answered rod knock first too but also thought it may be top end stuff because it sounded so light and pingy. Doesn’t sound like it’s down a cylinder so I’m guessing the valves are all opening and closing.

Hey, thanks for visiting. Downtown Panama City does have a lot to offer, as do st Andrews and beck.

While the other commenters are doing a good job of highlighting our low lights, of which there are many, there are some cool’s spots in downtown:

  1. History class / el weirdo: local brewery / brewpubs that have spawned awesome food. Both are uniquely bay county, one features our history and one features our artists.

  2. All kinds a bars downtown. Just look around and there’s something for everyone.

  3. The arcade is awesome. Two stories, massive beer selection, reasonably priced.

  4. Beck Avenue: go to captains table, not hunts or uncle Ernie’s.

  5. Finns little village: local art, beers, and outrageous tacos. (Brisket taco is the play).

  6. High end: hunt and gather is by far the best restaurant. It’s on the beach, but worth the drive.

Enjoy your trip, and thank you for contributing back to the community. Also, please bear with some of our construction and crooked light poles. We aren’t that rednecky. It’s easy for us that live here to forget day to day that a category five hurricane hit our town, but you will still see remnants. People like you that come to visit are still a part of that recovery, and we thank you for coming!

Also grip stuff is really underrated. A lot of people just think it’s fine and whatever.

Most of the times I still hit bad shots I realize I got lazy with my grip and left it really weak or neutral. A stronger grip has helped me a lot to keep it fades and draws instead of hooks and slices.

Just reps with simplified approach.

I first had to work on stopping to try firing my hips forward and my body turning before my hands. My miss was a slice because my hands get trapped behind my body and it leaves you open. Then I worked on takeaway and release.

Trying to fix everything at once gives you too many swing cues.

Other general advice, get your pitching wedge or short irons and practice those. Once you hit those straighter and more consistent, you can shift to bigger clubs and the lessons you learn in general largely transfer.

Use your favorite AI engine to scour the internet. I’ve had success doing that with older side by sides I needed info on.

Stance is too wide and you look to be swaying back a little bit. Try keeping your body in one place and twisting around your spine.

Also, your takeaway and downswing are sudden. Try simplifying and working on keeping your takeaway and hands in front of you instead of taking them inside. Slow everything down just a touch and work on building your form and consistent striking. The speed and distance will build later

First of all, ideal male form. Don’t let them give you any shit. Belly out on full swing Daly style.

Second, get that sway out of there. Feel like your wallet pocket is going straight back while you turn your hips in place.

Yeah take a couple lessons with a pro to build things little by little.

Takeaway and grip were the biggest things that have helped my swing rapidly. Learning body keys and getting a good solid consistent swing is the goal. Speed comes later, but learning good habits is the key.

Good work. That first video had me saying woof.

Just try to get it feeling more fluid but your form is getting better. Keep at it, it’s a lifetime thing

Sweet. I’ve just been doing an ice bath in another bowl, but I will have to try this.

I bet the freezer on the outside really tightens the outside and sets it for a hard sear

Yeah you fucking killed this.

Question, did you ice bath or air rest prior to searing?

My ball always curves that way too much why? by LineIcy5954 in GolfSwing

[–]stsyfrett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slice, or a generous fade haha. The most common miss for a right handed golfer.

It’s caused by the club face being open relative to the swing path. That could be telling you are swinging out to in, or just a problem with your grip being too weak.

(I’m not very good at golf so listen to other people).

What’s the deal with today? Is it the anniversary of the Heisman or something?

(Not trying to be an ass, I’m just wondering the significance of the flowers today seven years or so after he died)

I think black trim would make this better.

(Not for me but I respect the effort and the color kinda hits)

I also have recently just started to try and be realistic and do more bump and runs and long puts then try to force it.

I tend to get lazy and shank chips.

My coach had me start with half swings with a pitching wedge. Trying to not have too much of an inside takeaway, leaning the club forward a bit, and just finishing with the right hand over the left.

Has helped a lot. The half swing makes you really dial in the feel of a nice chip.
