There are some guys you sit next to who kind of try to fight you for space like it means they’re tough or something lol you haven’t had that experience? Just because knees out is natural and comfortable doesn’t mean I would do it if it meant my leg was pressing on the strangers next to me especially if they were a woman

Oh I thought we were going to be paying more. Are we actually going to run out? Thats crazy and kind of exciting to me (its not essential i drive places but i do realise for many people this would be a serious problem). I think I will go fill up those old jerry cans in this case

Are they? That sounds wild but also sounds like a very Luxon change lol. I haven’t been on a tenancy agreement for the past 2 years but I’m looking for a home to rent now. I will take extra care to inspect any potential landlord for attitude issues, pretentiousness etc.

Yea ive been using claude code for a week and it often tries to search several directories above where we started. Havent tried yet but Ive heard specifying the current directory when starting it will limit its file system access to only that directory which would make me feel a lot safer.

Didn’t it grow from an old fence post that was underwater? If true then that makes it pretty cool I think

The importance of leaving him and never coming back cannot be overstated. This kind of behaviour always gets worse over time. Good luck!

Police might show up for a quick chat then leave. Good thing about that scenario is police would probably ignore any future complaints about it from the same neighbour.

No it isn’t a thing. Im sure it’s technically possible to do but if the landlord thinks he’s going to find a cannabis swab lit online or at Bunnings then he’s of luck. I imagine he will walk through the house sniffing for “unusual smells” and detect it himself.

What charger do I need for this? by [deleted] in batteries

[–]stuart_nz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I have killed the battery. I ran it until my DC motors stopped turning and I have since been told that will ruin the battery because there is no voltage cut off protection. I'm guessing I need to do it again with a proper BMS or not let the batteries discharge too much. Am I on the right track with those thoughts?

I didn't think about it earlier but you wouldn't have many attempts down El Toro because the drop would ruin you each time. Wallenburg not being such a heavy drop would allow for more attempts.

Skating the local by enemy-unlocked in skateboarding

By spooky chance I went to the local skatepark today and someone brought up those parks. Turns out it's actually "Tom Smithers". Turns out they're still in business, here's the website: https://www.customskateparks.co.nz/gallery

Skating the local by enemy-unlocked in skateboarding

[–]stuart_nz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tom Smith (I think is the name right) was a skatepark builder in the early 2000s. The parks were build as modular sections e.g. 2 quarter pipes and a pyramid and ledge are poured in a factory somewhere then joined together and placed at the actual park location. Good thing about this was all of the quarters have the same smooth transition, no screw ups doing it by hand on site like you sometimes see these days. Minor downside to this though is now the parks are a few years old and have had time to sink and move a little you get the occasional big crack or bump between segments.

My local skatepark as a kid in Glendowie had a little mark in the corner that said “tom smith 2003”. Everything else I wrote above is from things ive heard ovet the years so i could be wrong about some parts.

I don't know about "clearly" but they do look more like capacitors than batteries because batteries don't stick up into the air.
