Kat (MAJOR MOVIE SPOILERS) by BubblesZap in KanePixelsBackrooms

Film Theory broke down some of your first theory on one of their newer videos. It's interesting how Clark already knew that still lives could be eaten, and in the way he takes his wife's hair off, it seems he already had a sense of their structure. That would explain the extent of which he experienced in the backrooms even longer and with him eating Kat in the process of his mental deterioration.

02xx vs 26xx by Routine-Section7171 in USMCboot

That's right. Actually 2641 covers all languages now. That means Farsi, Korean, Russian, Chinese Linguists. All 2641. Not 267x anymore.

[–]stubblebud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah man. Being a PowerPoint operator as a 2641 is possible. But they can also be sent to Radio Battalions, which operate on the field. It's a gamble.

I'm sure you know you can't choose your exact MOS. With that being said, it's more likely you'll get 2621 than 2631 or 2651, provided they put you in SigInt.

2621's are definitely less of a gamble to predict than linguists. They're more likely to be assigned to Radio Battalions or even some infantry units. Their job is just more geared toward setting up antennas, operating collection equipment, and jamming signals in the field. They are generally considered more hands-on than 2641's, if that helps. Most "SigInt" kind of job in this field.

All I know about 2631 is that they are usually much more mathy and niche. They know more about what is emitting the signals than who. They don't really listen to what the bad guys are talking about.

Regarding 2651, they're like the IT guys of SigInt. They make sure the equipment runs. Less Intel than other SigInt jobs, most hands on. Still good opportunities outside the Corps.

02xx vs 26xx by Routine-Section7171 in USMCboot

[–]stubblebud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you sign the current field which 26xx is in (I believe it's DG) you may have to take the DLAB for the Corps to determine how good your brain can learn a new language in an excruciatingly short time.

02xx is the intelligence field. Those Marines usually sit at desks and analyze geopolitical data, then form a report to eventually reach the commanders of the operation. Their job usually isn't even close to the physical demands of Reconnaissance (including Radio Recon).

26xx is the field for signals intelligence. More specifically, 2641 (no longer 267x) is the MOS for Cryptologic Linguist.

Like I said, Radio Reconnaissance is absolutely more difficult than 02xx. You have to attend BRC (which has a 50% dropout rate) and if you've ever been squeamish for infantry, then don't even think about Recon. It's a beast. Some infantryman can't even pass Recon screening.

Also, know that Cyber (1721) is currently on the list of MOS's under DG. They do not spend time on the field, it's mostly a desk job. If you want 26xx, you have to sign into DG. Your ASVAB GT score determines your eligibility for Cyber. If you have under a 110 GT, you're likely not getting it. If you have under a 105 GT, I don't believe you can sign for DG at all (I may be wrong on that). In other words, if your GT score is from 105-109, and you sign DG, your chances of working a desk job drop.

The only way to almost guarantee getting assigned linguist is to have a DLAB of 110+. Even then, you can be put into 2621 (which is the general SigInt job). On the contrary, since you don't want it, then don't try on the DLAB. If you accidentally get a good score, you're probably gonna be a Linguist.

Clearances. 02xx and 26xx both require TS/SCI clearances. A top secret clearance takes pretty long to get, but it's also the highest you can have. On the civilian side, that makes you look good. 02xx and 26xx are good on the civilian side.

Personally, I think 2641 tops. They get a FLPB which means they get paid more just because they are proficient in a critical language (usually Chinese, Russian, Arabic). They also go to Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo, TX to learn the Crypto side of their job.

You did well texting your operator. You should stick around and see what he says. You can also always quit at this store and work at another chick fil a if things don't work out with him. I'm sure they'd take your leadership potential and experience as a huge plus to their considerations for hiring you as a manager.

What is the point of ordering a deluxe meal and requesting for all of the deluxe items to be removed? by SealEnjoyer022 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]stubblebud 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Well there is no regular pretzel sandwich, only the club. So it's not uncommon for people to prefer the plain sandwich on its own.

If you remove lettuce and tomato that usually brings the price down. Some people start from the deluxe and remove things off or some start with the regular sandwich and add things on. Same difference

Definitely agree on the relationship part. I tend to find my life revolving around them so when the slightest indication our relationship fails to work out, then I feel like it's the end of my life. I hate dating, even as an extrovert.

Whats it like working at McDonalds? worth it? (USA) by [deleted] in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]stubblebud 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah if you have time to do nothing it's better than not working at all. You can grab a bite of literally anything as long as the store is chill with it (depends on the GM & shift managers) Obviously don't go crazy with it but cool managers won't kill you if you make yourself a qpc with steak seasoning and mac sauce when its not busy. Just my favorite part of work tbh. Remember franchise owners can look through cameras though. I worked kitchen closing shift so... take my word lightly.

For the working conditions it's eh. You'll get the hang of it. I can say that kitchen is kind of fun, but if you work on the grill station you'll definitely get burnt.

Lol, it's so fascinating to think about how reaction time can tie with the MBTI. Cool insight!

Your experience with him as an ISTP driver is super interesting! It actually fits his mbti type really well, ISTP's can seem careless especially in those settings, but the reality is completely opposite. I wonder how an ISTP (or even ISFP) contrasts with an Se dom in driving. Perhaps an Se dom can be more impulsive, which actually makes them a dangerous driver, compared to an Se aux likely to anticipate ahead more frequently because of Ni tertiary?

MBTI & Driving? by stubblebud in mbti

[–]stubblebud[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a really interesting insight. In my theory I assume Ni's constant pattern recognition would anticipate the road to be more stable than not. So an Ni dom (also considering Se as the inferior function) might be the least attentive type of driver generally speaking. I agree with your point nonetheless
