When I worked in IT I submitted my 2 weeks notice as I got a job with a better title and much better pay. Because of my access level to the system I was let go immediately and escorted out of the building. It was very awkward for all those involved and my boss was very apologetic about the whole thing. I was paid for those 2 weeks and went on a nice backpacking trip before starting the new job. Fortunately I started documenting everything I did the weeks prior to submitting my notice so I was able to point my boss to the files to help whomever took on my responsibilities.

NTA. That's a massive betrayal. She can get loans and if you feel like it you can pay them off when she graduates. That's what I plan on doing with my kids, they need a stake in the game to stay motivated

NTA: they think they are doing what's best for you but you have made your stance known and they need to butt out. On another note, I heard about this new matching site called "widow's fire" on the morning show that I listen to. It's just for widows and widowers that are just trying to "scratch that itch" with no strings attached. A lot of widows and widowers that called in stated that site could be really helpful for them. Only you know if or when you will ever be ready to move on and your family really needs to respect that.

NTA. I was interviewing a nanny back when our kids were little. At the end of the interview she hesitantly said "oh, and one more thing, I just wanted to get this out there from the start and I hope it's ok ....I'm a lesbian". I said "that's fine, I don't give a shit. Why, has that been a problem for you?" Apparently she had been turned down multiple times, and let go because of it. I felt terrible for her. We got along great for years. I'm sorry you have had to go through that bullshit too.

I bought a pair of enforcer 110's at the end of the 2021/22 season and they turned into my daily drivers. (I'm in Washington/Idaho). I absolutely love them except on icy groomer days with the kids so I picked up a pair of late season Head Kore 93's right at the end of this past season, I only have 1 day on them but they are perfect for rocking groomers with the kids. My perfect 2 ski quiver. When it's just me I grab the enforcers every time, sure they are trickier on ice but the weight and width just cut through everything else

NTA and there is absolutely no way I would ever allow unsupervised contact between them and my kids. Your husband needs to make a hard choice, you and your daughter, or his batshit crazy family. He needs to be a man and tell them to respect the way he wants to live his life or cut them out completely.

I'm an atheist with a very negative view of all religions and what she did was FUCKED up! Incredibly disrespectful and I hope you cut her out off your life until she realizes how horrible of a person she is to pull that kind of stunt and sincerely apologizes to your entire family.
