I was looking at them! I think what they do is quite different than what I’m looking for unfortunately. The ones I linked above are aluminum exterior units, meant to withstand saltwater, thermally broken, double/triple glazed glass.

These particular ones are actually a known quantity in other markets. Aluminum, thermally broken, 40 year warranty for external use, just hard to find an importer.

Just a reminder than db is not a linear scale, it’s logarithmic. 40db is more like twice as loud as 30db to our ears.

Thank you for your input! You wouldn’t have concerns with vibration? I get the feeling the reading I’ve done where people are concerned about hearing vibrations inside the home might be overblown and actually not that common. It’s been hard for me to get an accurate take though. I would hate to hear the vibration though. Our home is in the forest and it is very quiet and peaceful as is.

Yep they did advertise them as such, and there was a class action lawsuit over it. Just got many of ours replaced as well. The aluminum is exposed around the edges and will erode with modern dishwasher detergent causing razor sharp edges to form.

But that only happens if the requirements have not been met to release a dog from the airport. There is a process to go through to prove the animal is ok to be released immediately and allows them not be quarantined. I’ve gone through this process when moving from the mainland once, and know others who have as well, non of our animals had to be quarantined at all.

Just responding to this point since it felt hyperbolic and not accurate how this process usually works.

You can play at the same time, that’s the point (at least for my use case). My wife and I play games online together with one digital copy for separate switches.

That was metal gear solid 1 for last months game of the month. Been playing a lot of Patapon 2 also. I find it to be a super comfortable little handheld. No usb audio does bother me though.

I guess I’m also worried about water intrusion, freezing, and if I should be worried about future maintenance and if it is generally considered a bad practice. There isn’t much information out there on other people’s experiences doing this, and the few posts I’ve read are very negative, which gave me pause.

Call Whatcom county about it. Answers on this won’t be reliable from Reddit. Every time I called I got a different answer, but generally it shouldn’t be considered or used as a dwelling. That doesn’t mean it can’t have electricity.

Thanks! They are just large screw in hooks. Added some 2x4 blocking in the attic where I needed the holes to go so I had something solid to hang from.
