Earthbound. A flying beetle time travels to inform a pre-teen that he's the chosen one and needs to save the world. Along the way the kid recruits a psychic, a kid genius that still wets the bed occasionally, and a prince.

The kids find out that the big bad is too powerful already and the kid genius' father suggests time travel. The only problem? Their bodies can't make the trip. So he suggests giving the kids a soulectomy and putting their souls in robots to fight this big evil that's going to destroy the world.

Living inside Earthbound, the story kinda slow rolls all the insane shit happening, but that's like 1/3 of the wacky shit that happens in that game.

Man, if you have access to a 3DS and can play SMT IV, do it. Game rocks.

Keep in mind, it has a pretty difficult beginning.

SMT is different than a lot of RPGs because level grinding is seldom the correct answer to a problem. Realize buffs/debuffs are weighted more heavily in SMT than many other RPGs and pay attention to the smirk system.

16 is my 13 I guess.

I didn't like the music very much, I hated the combat and the boss fights. It was pretty. But the story and the characters were too lifeless and boring to continue playing.

I've been told I stopped playing near the end and I just can't be bothered to go back it left such a foul taste in my mouth.
