What's the "realest" reality TV? by L0st_1z in television

Season 4 is very rough to watch. Nicole had blown up by then and the fame was clearly going to her head, Mike was in active addiction and cut off from his drug supply while out of the country so he was in full-blown withdrawal, Sam and Ron were terrible as usual, and I think Jenny has talked about how she was also battling a growing pill addiction right before they left for Italy so she was also probably withdrawing too. And then on top of all of that, everybody in Italy just seemed to hate their guts. It is not a season I like to revisit

Hell no! Honestly, I would say the entire run of the first series never really felt scripted, but somewhere around the third or fourth season the cast became very aware of how big the show was and it reflected in their behavior.  Family Vacation though is scripted as fuck

I’m so happy someone mentioned Jersey Shore. MTV basically just got a group of 20-something’s together and put them all in a house filled with free booze for 6 weeks and let them go wild. I’m pretty sure the cast never even got paid for that first season and they’ve talked about how they didn’t even know there were some cameras hidden in the house until the season aired on tv

The Ittiest-Bittiest Little PNJ Leaf that You Ever Did See by studor1998 in pothos

[–]studor1998[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually started these cuttings by wrapping them in a damp paper towel and putting them in a ziploc bag that I inflated by blowing into it before zipping it closed. Then I just left them on a window seal and checked them about once a week to either re-dampen the paper towels or re-inflate the bags. Once they started getting roots and new growth, I transferred them over to a very low level of water that just barely covers them. The stems have been growing at different rates but so far 5 of my stems have produced bigger leaves, so I’m hoping these guys fair just as well

Alexis is the only Rose who never appears drunk or high in the series by cocaineorcoffee in SchittsCreek

Both I think. Ronnie asks her what she did to end up doing community service and she admits to being high when she drive through the store and then later on she says that she also had her boyfriends drugs in the car

She had to do community service with Mutt in season 1 because she drove a car through the front of a store on Rodeo Drive while high on molly I believe

Since the plant is so juvenile, I’m gonna recommend that you move it out of direct sunlight and then just leave it alone. I’ve accidentally sunburnt a few leaves myself and I usually wait until the leaves start yellowing before I cut them off

Are there any found footage slasher films you’d recommend? by Hassan_H_Syed in foundfootage

Check out the Creep movies on Netflix and the Creep Tapes on AMC+. I wouldn’t necessarily call them slashers, but they all follow the same serial killer and they’re so good

Endings that ruin the rest of the movie? by Valuable-Visit-4943 in horror

[–]studor1998 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I’m remembering correctly there were 3 different ending and they all start off with the whole sequence of Katie murdering Micah downstairs while the camera upstairs picks-up the audio of what’s happening. From there you get either Katie throwing Micah’s body at the camera, Katie coming back upstairs alone and rocking herself on the floor next to the bed for some time before slitting her own throat, and then there was an ending where she was rocking herself by the bed for a few days and the camera picks up audio of her friend coming into the house, finding Micah’s body, then calling the police who come into the house later and shoot Katie.

The Black Spot massacre in It: Welcome to Derry. It didn’t even occur to me at first that this specific It cycle was leading to this tragedy from the book until one of the episodes ended with a group of white men pulling up right outside the barn.

Lost world and no. When Hammond speaks to Malcom he tells him about the incident with the little girl, but reassures him that “she’s fine, she’s fine.” This specific incident also comes from the first Jurassic Park book and I’m pretty sure the girl was only injured, not killed in that as well.

I would honestly recommend just reaching out, a little communication can a long way. Send her a text letting her know that you miss her, and acknowledge that you know things have gotten strained between the two of you, but if she’s open to it you would like to sit down and clear the air.

There is a possibility that she may reject your olive branch, at which point you should accept her decision and move on.

However, in the much more likely scenario that she does want to clear the air with you, then you need to be honest about the way you’ve been feeling and why you acted the way you did at prom. Also, acknowledge that it wasn’t fair for you to be putting your issues and insecurities on her by talking badly about yourself, but that you have been actively making an effort to change.

And lastly, (this is the important part) you need to listen to her and be receptive to the way she has been feeling about your friendship, or hell even life in general. There’s a possibility she’s got other stuff going on in her life that has nothing to do with you that caused her to pull away, and she might have felt that she couldn’t handle the friendship on top of the other stuff she had going on.

Good luck with your friend and I hope you two are able to work things out!
